  1. Realistically, you don't need a flashlight for EDC, harsh truth. But im getting the Harbour freight brand for one of my home defense guns. For duty carry I use surefire and its mid.

  2. I finally got one locally after checking their stock daily for 6 months. its a 1 to 1 to my TLR-1 HL other than the rail clamp bolt and the plastic rail tabs. The HF one is a few grains lighter. But that could be the screw which is smaller (flat head instead of thumb screw).

  3. I'm a big fan of HF and tend to suspect that many name brands are overpriced. But unless and until you mount this and fire several hundred rounds, this test doesn't tell me much. Lots of inexpensive sights and lights fail once they get exposed to actual use.

  4. I'd want to see a comparison that involved shooting the weapons with the lights installed. My first light/laser combo was a Crimson Trace, which was absolute garbage, and it broke and fell off the weapon the first time I shot it.

  5. I habe owned a Streamlight TLR for thr better part of a decade. I initially used it as a headlight for my electric skateboard that is until i got my first weapon. Either it still is running like a champ 10 years later.

  6. Anyone ever ask why Harbor Freight of all places would make ANYTHING that could be put on a gun? What else do people put these on? I'm thinking about getting one and using cerakote; finally a light that doesn't have huge white digits on it!
