  1. Love how we went from "you dont need it, its another thing to break" for auto on/off, to "if your room clearing brain cant take 1 second to touch a button…"–> yes. You are correct. It should be hardwired in your brain to PCC/PCI. Sure. By the book that sounds great. When adrenaline is pumping, "things" are happening, you lose those small nuanced things in your brain. At least 99% of people do unless they've had YEARS and infinity of reps. You might not need it, but for the vast majority of people, why NOT have it? If the shake awake fails, the whole optic probably fails. If your eotech button fails, I bet the eotech would fail… I feel like your argument was a moot point. ~respectfully~

  2. Not happy at all with the gun industry lately. All these douchebags who live in moms basement with a shrine of rifles on the wall like helga had for hey Arnold is just bullshit, and that’s who the industry is leading for nowadays. Forget the guy who works six days a week and when he shoots he’s tired af from his work week and has on clothes that are beat to shit cause he never stops and loves his family. I don’t make much money for how hard I work, so when I actually spend I’m very cautious. Every company lately is making me question where my hard earned money will go too…

  3. Another thing about close range home defense. Is the holo optic the best optic? Yes I agree. However, the laser of the OGL is also useful. I had a night situation where I heard a big crash in my apartment. Turns out it was just a nightmare hallucination but I didnt know that at the time. Grabbed my MK18 with Eotech holo and OGL and the vis green laser and the weapon light were absolutely awesome to clear my space from a low ready position. Very easy and quick to move through the structure, lean around corners, and a real Daniel Defense MK18 with a magpul D60 drum loaded with M855A1 is gonna be about the best close quarter defensive weapon setup you can get.

  4. Im not paying $1k for an optic with the same battery life, less NV settings, and looks like dogshit. You guys have just continuously declined as time has gone on. The OGL is obscenely priced for what it offers, it's got a lot of reported issues from end users, and the tech in it is 3-5 years too late. At that price point, there is zero reason not to buy a raid-xe or mawl. I love my EXPS 3-0. When it dies or de-laminates, I will be replacing it with another brand.

  5. Yeahhhhhh gents, I love EOTech optics. I’ve ran them for almost 2 decades now professionally and at home. Now, 1k for what’s basically amounting to what everyone else has been doing for YEARS and charging that price with a straight face? Is this for real?

  6. The whole bit in here about not having shake awake is major cope. If I’m going to grab a rifle for immediate defense, it’s the one I have set up to rock and roll as soon as I touch it. It’s one that I check often to make sure it functions and batteries are at a sufficient charge. I’m not doing administrative tasks in a fucking emergency. Grab rifle, rack round in, go to work. That’s it. If I’m checking my light and checking my mag and checking to turn on my dot, I’ve already failed basic preparedness.

And EOTech making a new optic with an all aluminum body, rheostat illumination adjustment, and shake awake for $1k is just banking on the fanboys. Cuz you’re putting industry standard technology in your optic- basically doing what EVERYONE ELSE has been doing for YEARS, and then charging a fortune for it.

  7. Company releases new model with shake awake

"Shake awake is an additional failure point" "it's easy to just hit the button"

    🔥🔥🔥🔥Based🔥🔥🔥🔥

AND EOTECH YOU BETTER NOT DO ANYTHING TO THIS GUY THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE INDUSTRY NEEDS REALNESS AND AUTHENTIC OPINIONS

  8. Saying that shake awake technology is one more failure point and pushing a button is better is odd considering that your new optic features shake awake technology if I remember correctly.
