Get a geissele find a super duty or urgi upper on sale around the holidays or get a “psa Sabre fn chf cl w geissele mk14 rail upper and ah Fn lower and you got a top of the line SHTF rifle for 1200 bucks.
BCM is better because of furniture? LOL?! What?! How about accuracy? They are both very dependable. However, the DD barrels are more accurate and superior. Who cares about furniture. Ok, throw your BCM furniture on the DD. I have both and DD is better in my opinion and experience.

Most guys that have this argument about Daniel defense being the bet usually shoot like once a year around thanksgiving and it just sits around otherwise. Bang for your buck BCM all the way. Unless you’re actively shooting and training then you won’t notice anything different.
I own one DD and my favorite AR is my higher end aero but this just low level info that’s not all that meaningful. My AR as mentioned was maybe 300 less than an MK18 DD.
You can get a 16” DDM4 for the same price as a BCM now. I’d go DD
I own only Geissele ARs and bought two for my sons.
DD 11.5 FDE upper I got it for 699.99 on sale, so I jumped on it, otherwise it would have been BCM.

My first AR15 was a Daniel defense. It's been a great gun that I've put thousands of rounds thru, but knowing what I know now I would definitely get something like a bcm instead. In the grand scheme of things dd rifles are milspec with a bigger price tag than most other midtier brands.

My personal opinion is that DD is way overpriced for what it is. Other brand, LMT, LWRCI, and some others are a significant step up in quality for money, mainly due to not spending so much on marketing.
Not saying Daniel defense isnt a good rifle, but they spend a lot on marketing and that money has to be recovered somewhere and doesn’t directly improve rifle quality.
The one area I do reccomend DD is for women. Their rifles are down right featherweight compared to many others. This makes them very good for women.
For men, spending that much for weight savings doesn’t make sense, particularly with the benefits of a heavier barrel profiles and greater overall strength of the heavier lwrci or LMT.
Saying you’re only paying for the name on a DD is a trash take. That being said geissele or bust
I have two DD hand guards and prefer them over my BCM any day. I love my RIS II upper with ergo grip, B5 stock, et tech, hk broom handle, DD bcg, surefire 3 prong’ LMT lower, Geissele ssa trigger

At DD price point I would buy something else. At the end of the day it is a standard spec rifle with different furniture and fore end.
Bcm is the Tacoma of ARs. Just like its awesome to have a work truck, you need a work gun before a Gucci one. Bcm is your work gun.
I bought a sionics sbr for $1200. BCM and DD can both get bent man. They’re not worth the money. DD especially has gone downhill the last decade
Bought my Daniel m4a1 for the sweet ris II and love the rifle. Expensive gun. Hated DD furniture and swapped it all. No regerts
I love the DD furniture. Before I ever had a Dd I would buy the furniture to put on. 🤷🏽♂️.

BCM between those 2, but honestly I’ve had great experiences with multiple PSA’s. No need for anything more than that. PSA is like a basic affordable Honda that just keeps on working.
BCM all day and it’s not even close. DD made a nice rail 25 years ago and hasn’t done a thing since.
I'll take my Daniel defense Rifles all day long. Both the long barrel and my sbr. Quality and peace of mind knowing it will just work flawlessly is all that matters to me. So what if it costs a few hundred more? If you worry about cost of ammo etc then perhaps shooting isn't for you
DGI, BCM and LWRCI is my choice. Piston it is LWRCI all the way!
