The Second focal plane is a no go for me.
I found this combo while browsing the Eotech site. I was looking for some kind of magnifier combo for either Holographic sight or regular Red dot. It wasn't until I saw this one that I realized you could do Red Dot + LPVO combo.
I'm still trying to figure out what would be "better" though–this combo or a magnifier + Holo (fixed zoom, basically just as expensive as this) or magnifier + Red Dot (fixed zoom, way cheaper, by like half the price). I've been thinking about it for weeks…
SFP and they started at 3X? Wasted opportunity….1X or 1.5X to start would have pushed this optic to the top of a lot of peoples list. For that price, there are a TON of better options out there in the magnification range.

You lost me in the beginning when you said the edge to edge clarity was pretty good. It is NOT. I wanted this optic for my MRGG-A and it was not good clarity wise at or out to 9
