  1. Decisions like EoTech’s make it easier to decide where to spend our money. They could easily “dumb down” a civilian version, lowering the power, but instead they choose to give us nothing. This stuff isn’t cheap, and they’re deliberately leaving money on the table.

  2. I don't have any NV or lasers and seeing the state of the market makes me glad I don't have to deal with all of this bullshit. 3k for a laser pointer is insane no matter who makes it or how good it is.

  3. Anyone who hates Holosun because they manufacture and possibly support the CCP are just hypocrites. Every big gun company is morally dubious at best and completely evil at worst.

  4. I am guessing the OGL never came to market is because it didn't gain much popularity within Leo/Mil world. (I could be wrong, i don't see any leo/mil using them. )

  5. EOTech is hiding behind “FDA clearance is hard” for the civ OGL. In reality it’s a lot easier to fill mil/LE contracts and keep raising MSRP. the OGL MSRP is going up to 3499 and people will still buy because it’s cheaper than the NGAL

  6. Did you ask them for comment on your accusations? If there pricing is anything like other military contracts its for a reason – when you sell to big army – the first thing they do is ask you to cut your prices by 60% – no matter what they are. The Colt M4 you could buy for 1500 – big army was paying 575 for them and colt was eeking out a profit on the massive scale of the contract which you can't do in the civilian market. Knights is the same and Ukraine kicked off under briben, they probably had to sign contracts with the army that included refusing to sell to civilians for a set period of time or not at all. During the ACR contests this happened.

  7. Really wanted an OGL when they were announced. I could get a FP. Still went Iris for $775 to my door and threw a VWS diffuser on. Its already 90%+ of the top tier units. And unlike all of those companies, Holosun will take feedback, iterate and provide a new model in a reasonable time and I can buy that one and still have paid less than half of a unit from one of the big names.

I spoke to Holosun a couple of months ago and suggested they nerf the FP ir laser on the LE model and they reported getting that feedback a lot. I can definitely see an “LE optimized” FP unit with FP vis, civ IR pointer and the great illuminator.

I want to support American companies, but China is delivering what I actually want.

  8. STOP PAYING MIL CONTRACT PRICES. The Iris and the Zbolt when it releases (made in USA) are $900 and $1500, respectively, and both Vcsel. Zbolt also has a standalone Vcsel illuminator now as well. Anything that releases as mil first will ALWAYS be insanely price gouged when they make.a version for the peasants, since it needs to match the price they sell it to the crown. See: Romeo 9t for an extreme example.

  9. If there is a company that EVER refuses to sell to the public, but sells to companies or the government, it's imperative that every decent American citizen embargo and attempt to do harm to that company where possible. It is utterly evil in the ONLY country on Earth that allows parity of use of force multipliers to the public as it does it's army have companies that betray the publics trust like this.

NEVER finance companies that REFUSE to trade with you. Imagine if they said they wouldn't sell to you because you're black, or white, etc.
