  4. Great video! I have a question, I’m looking for a suppressor for the Rattler LT 300blk same as in video what would you use on this setup today? Would you stick with the now older Q trash panda or go with something new?

  5. I cant stand gun laws. But im glad companies like Cmmg made something for the few states who cant have a AR lets be real this is a AR 😂 ..alil training you can be just as effectve with this

  12. Great video! Man I sure hope you are able to give a 1:5 twist a go sometime. I went with the 11.3 inch Mostek with 1:5. Haven’t tried any of the Hornady factory ammo but I have for sure been getting about 1 MOA with my subsonic and supersonic hand loads. And that is with factory second 175 grainers on H110 for the supers and 300 grain SMK pull downs on 1680 and H110 as well for the subs. I’ve also gotten ridiculous expansion with the 300gr Maker Rex projectiles. The wild thing to me is that I have had basically zero reliability issues which is totally opposite from my first 300 blk build. Been using the straight 15 rd 6.5 Grendel magazine from Duramag as well as 10rd 400 legend. I think the cartridge is great, I just think Hornady did people an incredible disservice by recommending the 1:8 twist and telling people that any 6.5 Grendel magazine would work right away. Oh, and by producing that 307gr trash.

  13. I love how you're kind of an enigma we know the voice but we don't know what person that voice belongs to just because you have a handful of people that are on the channel but we don't know who you really are or is that just me

  15. That those Hornady subsonics have a profile that seem ro have fewer barrels that stabilize the bullet. Same with the 300blk with that profile. May also be as you said.

    I have had problems with Hornady ammo I actually want to use. Like the Hornady Critical Duty 40SW in 175 grains, those bullets hate after market barrels.

  18. I like the cartridge. Especially the price over the 8.6 blk. However I am not a fan of the 6.5G, x39 case in an AR at all. That would be the sticking point for me.

  26. I dunno I think the Twist in the 8.6 makes it a more effective round. Have you see what it does on contact with jet? I like the size of the 338 but how effective is it really compared to an 8.6?

  27. I have a greater desire for 8.6 (aka 338) blk than a 338 arc. I don't know why Hornady tried to screw over Q by pulling support for samii. I also don't know why they didn't try to improve upon 338 spectre, oh wait, yes I do, they want more money.

  30. That accuracy is surprisingly poor, i have a Henry x in .44 that i play with subsonic loads in and it does substantially better with multiple bullets. That's saying something, .44 mag isn't really known as a particularly accurate round.

  35. Thanks for the video. You did a great job. I think I’ll just save up and go with the 8.6 blk. I’ve been a bit disappointed with 338 ARC from what I’ve seen so far. I’ve been very disappointed with the Hornady Sub-X ammo in general.

  36. Wonderful video was waiting for this review. I have no desire for 338 arc in a gas gun I want it in a jtac elf owl bolt action chassis with a fast twist 8” barrel, that would be my ideal setup for 338 arc. The accuracy seen is an issue I’ve been watching you guys for some years now and y’all can shoot so this is bullet selection issue, so custom loads using a solid copper bullet I think you’ll see better accuracy. Excited for the follow up and hopefully by then we will see some reliable mags as well that don’t need to modified.

    Also really like the lower swap that fde and green is pleasing

  37. I’ve been debating whether to go down the 338 or 8.6 hole, but I’ve been waiting to see if the slower twist rate makes a difference in 338 accuracy. Thank goodness for AA, as you always manage to make things clear. Thanks again.
