  1. if you fire even 50 rds of subsonic, suppressed 22lr ammo, at night, you're going to be able to pick up dozens of rifles and some of them are going to be AR-15's. You wont be needing any parts or guns-mithing after shtf, cause you'll be dead if you're not in a tunnel for a year, coming out only at night, for an hour or so, to cook a meal. YOu're not going to get away with being above ground in daylight, making noise or showing a light at night. You're going to have no place to work on any guns and you wont fire enough rds to need to lube it, much less clean it. I"ve seen an AR fire 3000 rds, as fast as the guy could swap mags and empty them on semi auto. He stopped every 500 rds to spray on some WD-40, while another guy was using stripper clips to load the 20 and 30 rd mags with 55 gr softpoint reloads. This was in 1976. using Ball C powder and Hornady bullets.

  2. you wont survive needing to fire 200 rds of centerfire rifle ammo in 10 years of shtf. You can't be making that many mistakes. Ditto 500 rds of subsonic 22 ammo thru the caliber conversino unit in 10 years, or 50 rds thru the centefire pistol. A year after shtf, 99% of the population will be dead. Within 2 months, all of the game will be gone and in another month, the cats and dogs will all have been eaten and the cannibalism will start in earnest. 90% of the population doesnt have more than a week or 2 of food in their home (or anywhere else) and 80% wont GET any more, either. 99% have never gone more than 24 hours without a meal, or even without electicity for that matter. Half of them have never been without the internet or a cell phone. They are going to completely apart the first month of shtf.
