It’s not that they don’t care about civilians. It’s that they can’t legally charge civilians less than what they charge the government. And because this is such a niche optic, I’m sure they baked their R&D and tooling costs into the government’s bill.
No it’s not worth $4k.
For that money you can buy an awesome rifle, and if you need two different zeroes for supers/subs or different grain weights of ammo, buy 2 high quality optics with good QD mounts that will return to zero, and mark them as being specific to their ammo type. And you’ll still have money left over for ammo or a training course.
Am I way off the mark here or is this sound logic? The price tag on the Romeo 9T is just 🤯

I love all sig products but that military contract got them trippin on civilians and those prices. Side note I have a romeo2 same deal just way overpriced.
Not worth it at all. You can by a Knights Armament SR15 for less than that price.
