Sig MPX | The Fastest and Most Modular PCC?

The Sig Sauer MPX is the fastest, flattest shooting and most modular 9mm PCC ever made. The short stroke gas piston system, fantastic trigger and full modularity with simple handguard/barrel/stock changes make this an extremely versatile platform. Sig also made some excellent decisions by utilizing standard AR controls with ambidextrous enhancements. Contrary to some opinions I’ve heard and seen, I have never had any issues suppressing the MPX and have found it to be a phenomenal suppressor host using my Dead Air Wolfman. This gun simply shoots like a dream for me in all configurations I’ve tried. The MPX also appears in the latest Call of Duty (COD:MW2) Modern Warfare 2 game as the BAS-P IRL.

This is my most extensive production yet – showcasing the modularity of the MPX by shooting and filming it in multiple different configurations throughout the video. I’ve seen many people talk about the modularity of the MPX, but not show it – I wanted to show it here, and hopefully provide something a little different.

This video is a slightly modified format because I’ve owned this gun for years and I have a lot of thoughts on it, and several modifications to discuss. I put 340 rounds through the MPX in this session, but shooting fast was just too fun so there is roughly an equal amount of talking and shooting in this one. Don’t worry – “Less talking, More Shooting” is still going to be the standard I strive for!

I have a ton of videos in the works, including many more PCCs, as well as ARs, Shotguns, Handguns, and yes – more AKs! If you like what you see here, please make sure to like and subscribe so you don’t miss any of my upcoming content.

  1. Question. With all the different options and barrel lengths, have you sent in a form 5320.20 to update barrel length for your SBR? How does this work when you have multiple barrels you run? As long as you keep the upper and barrel that was registered, can you run whatever you want? Thanks.

  2. I just got a Gen 3 MPX with an 8” barrel. I have been excited to experiment with the different options and this video just covers just about everything I’ve been considering doing. Great video!! Thank you for putting this together.

  3. I went with the copperhead k and a wolfman can, it’s lighter and thinner then an MPX K and I paid like $700 less. I had no intentions on adding a longer handguard or adding weight, SBRd and threw a vertical grip on it for heat management

  4. I bought the Midwest 8" handguard for my MPX and was so disappointed how bad it fit. It was soo loose on there, even after i squeezed it a bit. In hopes with would fit tighter on the mating end. What a joke. I returned it. Im gonna buy the sig handgaurd and hopefully i can still countersink my DA wolfman jack.

  5. Awesome video man, really well done!!! Ive been thinking about suppressing my MPX-K and not quite sure what direction to go in. After watching this video, I love the 8" handrail, with Dawolfman Short suppressor. Quick question, which barrel did you buy off In Lead We Trust to make that happen? Can I keep the 4.5" barrel and just swap out the muzzle device with the one compatible for the Wolfman? or need to get an entire new barrel. Thank you so much!!

  6. After your opening comments you started shooting again. Can you tell me about the muzzle device you had on this first and can it be added to the stock MTX-K and is it legal as of 10/25/23? I'm not sure if it's a flash hider or a Compressor. I like how it fills the gap at the end. Awesome video work

  7. Great channel dude. Getting to this video late in the game but wondering how you're mounting the Wolfman? I have a Lantac Dragon on my Copperhead K and Wolfman but I have a standard upper and 8" handguard coming. I think it'll be an inch longer or so than yours because of the Keymo.

  8. I want a MPX, but SIG only sells increasingly dumber and dumber looking guns. The copperhead is one of the ugliest and silliest firearms produced, and the price they demand for it is laughable.

I pretty much would want what you have here, or the original 8 inch MPX

  9. @Chester's Hobbies I need your help bud! I just got my MPX. I want to replace the muzzle device with a JAMC MPG KeyMicro to use with a Wolfman I ordered. I have the MI handguard coming even though I ain't gonna need it for some time cause of the Tobacco folks.

My question is, what did you use to hold your barrel to get the birdcage off?

The 4.5" barrel is so short, I'm trying to figure what to use to hold it.

Was there any adhesive on the barrel used by Sig that you had to deal with?

  10. Ive been super on the PCC hype train as of late with I think my next project either being a Vityaz KP9 clone or an MPX. Being an AK guy im def leaning towards the KP9 but I have an sbr'd akv already that kinda fills that void lol. Whats your preferred PCC for SHTF.

  11. I keep hearing people complain about gas blowback to the face with this in 300blk suppressed. It has kept me from pulling the trigger on buying it. Do you find that to be true? Also, this or the honey badger in your opinion, 300blk? Great stuff man. You will be huge in a few more months.

  12. Awesome vid. What gas plug settings are your using for unsupressed, short config wolfman and long config wolfman? the ilwt gas plug has 0, 1, 2 and 3 for settings.

  13. Awesome video, thx for posting. I just ordered an MPX and an 8" MI handguard (partly cuz of this video) and I have a Wolfman I'll run with it. Did you have any issues adding the BCM vertical grip? I've read it's a tight fit with the Wolfman. Thx…

  14. I know you're outside, but how was the gas to the face suppressed? I tried a full auto mpx suppressed and I needed a gas mask. I don't know if they had an adjustable gas piston or not.

  15. Nice content man. How is the audible comparison between short and long configuration in person? It sounds not too different from my phone. I have an omega 9k on the way, and I hear from other reviews it is similar to the short wolf man config. If the difference is huge I may start making payments on a wolfman. Thank you!
