  1. I’m a huge fan of the POF ar10, I can’t remember the name but it’s one if my favorites. Short stroke piston, monolithic upper, short receiver, adjustable gas block, fully ambi controls any I like the way they did it compared to other companies. It’s super light weight, I believe it’s the same weight as a military m4. It’s more accurate than I am, and POF actually provides huge improvements over other rifles like DD, where your money goes to what?

  2. Ruger SFAR, or a PSA PA10 are 2 options at or under a $1000. Both have options with 16in and 18in barrels. My PX10(light weight PA10) has an 18in barrel and is sub moa at 100y with wolf steel case fmj. Newer PA10s also have adjustable gas blocks.

    FocusTripp actually suggests a 14.5in AR10 for up to about 500y, and suggests going Creedmore after that… Makes me kinda want a short 308.

  3. M1As and HK-91s always work…and well. AR-10s are why the Army didn't adopt it….the direct gas impingement design is just so stupid that one in .308 is simply "stupid on steroids".
    …& just watch one of things FLEX under recoil in slo-mo….HILARIOUS!

  4. I have a Springfield Saint victor. I could not get better than 4” groups. I have a vortex scope 4-16 FFP . I fitted a better trigger. Still poor groups. I thought 308 should reach out. I have just installed a faxon 20” 5r barrel. That’s when I spotted the cause. The Springfield 16” barrel was loose in the receiver! The faxon I had to warm the receiver to fit it. I am looking forward to some good hits at 500 yds

  5. I’ve been in the market for an AR10. Main thing that makes me hesitant is how some of the parts are proprietary. I don’t mind buying a decent rifle. As long as I can find parts to upgrade the rifle to make it a great rifle. AR10’s don’t work like that. A great AR10 is way out my budget. If I had the money to blow I’d get either a Sig Spear, REPR, or a Nemo XO. But currently I’ve boiled it down to 2 rifles that I keep hearing great reviews. And those are the Springfield Saint & the Sig Tread. And I’m leaning towards the Tread. Even though the Saint is cheaper. If y’all have any input by all means let me know. Awesome video bro

  6. My list->

    S Tier: POF Revolution DI(extreme performance/durability, best lower, great features, very suppressible, only 6.5lbs, $2500). THE REST:
    A Tier: FN SCAR 17S, LWRC REPR, Sig Sauer MCX Spear 308, Tavor 7
    B Tier: Springfield Socom M1A,, Sig Sauer 716i Tread, Rugar SFAR.

    The SFAR comes close to A tier, just too many issues that haven't been resolved. Low cost means nothing if the weapon system can't be counted on.

  7. I'm disappointed so many seemingly knowledgeable shooters (nor necessarily the author of this article) turn up their nose at the Anderson Arms AM10. I've only owned three .308 Win./7.62 NATO auto loaders, the first being an FN FAL, the 2nd a U.S. Rifle M14, and the 3rd an Anderson Arms AM 10 Ranger with the 18" barrel. I bought the 1st Gen AM 10 Ranger through Sportsman's Guide for under a grand about 6 years ago and spent less than that on accessories: a $65 muzzle brake, $299 on a Nikon P308 scope and mounts, and the same on a Geiselle SSA-E trigger so $1,650 all in. With handloads my AM 10 shoots 1" at 100 yards all day long so accuracy doesn't necessarily equate with expensive.

  8. I've always gravitated towards 308! I think at one time or another, I've owned just about every military platform battle rifle in 308, not to mention bolt rifles. Only recently have I segwayed into the AR platform, of which I have 2! That Adams is very interesting, considering the problems that the SFAR seems to have with reliability.

  9. 9:28 that's not because it's a short stroke piston…. It's because the adams arms bolts have a spring that pushes the bolt forward and pushing the carrier back. I have short stroke guns without this, and i believe I've removed that spring on an AA gun
