Tbh, I built mine out of a seekins rifle I bought off a guy. (Individual to Individual selling is legal in Texas.) Only thing I did was turn it into a .300 HAM'R by swapping out the barrel and getting a cryptic coatings dlc bcg for it.

Fun fact! Due to the split receiver design of the AR-15 it technically isn’t supposed to be regulated until put together since neither the upper or lower receivers fit the GCA definition of a frame/firearm receiver. There was a situation in California over a felon who was making “ghost gun AR-15s” that was settled before going to trial because of that reason specifically and due to that decision, wasn’t able to become case law. The AR15 isn’t the only weapon that shares this unique distinction. How we got conned into considering the lower the firearm is beyond me. Just like the “firearm” component on a FAL is the upper receiver (lolwut?).
