As an update, the ammunition company (Ammo Valley) covered the full cost of the rifle and remaining ammunition. POF just finished their assessment (19 May). I don't have the full details from them, but I was offered another rifle at about half price (which i can't get now due to Washington's garbage "Assault weapons" ban), so more of that later.
Good thinking checking yourself out, if you had been wounded and a nerve somewhere vleanly severed, you literally wouldnt feel a thing, and could very well have bled out worrying about your rifle
