  1. I am extremely skeptical of using a gun light as a pain compliance weapon. What if a guy charges you when you were expecting him to be dazzled? You might be at a very close distance to him, and the moment it takes you to re-evalute the situtation, he's already on top of you. Pain compliance should only be used when there is no imminent threat, it's not your first line of defense against an imminent threat.

  2. Another outstanding review & comparison! I have all of these lights (Unashamed Flashoholic) and find the X300T barely edging out the PL350 with PLHv2 head. The OKW head doesn't have enough spill for me. But ANY of these flashlights are better than not having one!

  3. My X300 Turbo just showed up today! Excited to do some low light training with it this weekend. I have several ultras and TLR1 HL’s that I’ll have to compare it to.

  4. I'm confused. I watched your review of the Olight PL3 and you ripped it for dropping off from its peak output after a minute and a half (if I recall correctly). This light does the same thing, but this is your next weapon light? What am I missing?

  5. X300 T…Excellent switch operation…PHLster switch mod makes them even better, IMO.
    Momentary.
123 batteries are FAR easier to acquire in the wild !!

The Modlite is Sexy looking and works well with the OKW head…

X300 Turbo, switches, MOMENTARY, battery commonality, performance…= WINNER !!

  6. not to say I don't like the holsters because I'll try one soon im a big fan of t rex armes holsters and there lead time but heard your lead times are short to good job man .

  7. Super high quality content as usual, especially in regards to incorporating audience feedback. The "consistency" tests are especially informative. SF seems to still be putting out some really high-end lights despite the complaints that they (previously) were not focusing enough on candela.

  8. Due to the issues with Modlite which extend to more than just their poor QC on their PML I never considered them the king. The TLR1-HL is great in throw and flood and lights up targets inside 100yds well. The new Surefire is something that might be a great competitor, and I will keep an eye on it until Cloud Defensive comes out with their light.

PS. I have a Modlite OKW on the main squeeze, I know they can make good lights. BUT there are other issues which made me decide not to purchase their products again.
