  3. One of the differences between a Gen 4 & the Gen 5 is the extended slide release. You look like a guy who has large hands so you might be hitting the slide release because of your high Grip which seams to be the most common thing with shooters that are now using the new Gen 5 Glocks. You could try ordering the Gen 5 Kagwerks extended raised slide release from the Glockstore which will allow you to have a high grip and not hit the slide release.

  6. Don’t worry about the slide dropping when you bring the mag home hard, both my gen 3 and 4 do it. I remember how upset I was when I first discovered it until I found out it was normal lol.

  11. Glock 17 with a suppressor is what I carry in weather where I wear a coat, smaller handguns for warmer weather. I do conceal carry though. I think open carry can set you up to be a target in certain situations. Just my opinion though. Greg Chaney

  28. Bear, I recently got a Gen 5 Glock 19. I have had a Gen 3 for yrs. I have found that do to not being used to the ambi slide release if I run the gun hard I will induce the same slide forward on insertion of a mag that you are experiencing. Because, the base my trigger finger is riding the slide release while keeping my finger high and off the trigger during reloading. Try keeping your finger just a smidge lower on the frame. Hope that made sense.

  36. I wonder how many safety freaks went nuts on the slide going into battery when fast mag entry was applied? I know Springfield is the devil and all but I haven't had any malfunctions after 300 rounds or slide closing issue upon mag insert, including cheap Winchester steel casing ammo. The difference is Bears glock had a far more efficient operator behind it than my Springfield. I'm starting to do the things I have a long way to go. The underlying point is we're all on a couch with our phones in our face talking shit about this or that piece of equipment or something in the comments. I'm committing to do the things so shit or get off the pot.
