Did you put a heavier buffer and spring in it ? I put a FM 9mm buffer that weighs 6.8 oz with a 308 spring

I thought you only needed to use the 9mm BCG on the upper and of course the barrel?

This would definitely be better for home to phones just like he mentioned for overpenetration especially with p+ controlled frag rounds. Living with family I definitely worry about over penetration with green tips etc

If you are starting from scratch say …go with colt smg there like 65-80 and have last round bolt and uses mag release ..they make the polymer mags also 16-18$ not bad

I'm in the mix of this right now.
Options I'm looking at is buying a Banshee upper with their proprietary roller delay blow back like the MP5 and run their CMMG AR15 magazine inserts. They specifically say their inserts work with their Banshee upper. Reason is like the last point made. I want a single platform (My AR15 Lower) for everything I'm doing. I currently have two lowers but I have many different uppers and plan on expanding that. Both are registered to run as a pistol but I'm probably going to have one setup for rifle uppers and the other for pistol uppers. I don't stake anything so before I bought my second lower I was flipping between a brace and stock depending on what I wanted. It took time and having my second lower this should help out with that. I want to utilize that Multi Caliber engraving on my lowers 🙂

Plus, I want to only spend money on one (or two) lowers and have those options carry over to whatever upper I swap over to with a different caliber.

9mm will penetrate more interior walls than 5.56 but I'll have to admit a 9mm AR pistol is a handy gun to have

I know for each their own & I could be off on this theory, but I don't have any devices like lights protruding past the muzzle especially on top of my rifles for fear of damage from muzzle blast. This concern may be unwarranted but it seems to make sense to me. The blast is so much larger on a rifle vs a handgun. If I need to be straightened out on this, I'm always willing to learn.

I did with a sylvan and a mas defense extended bolt and primary arms upper…. it was sooooooooo hard to get working.. it took me at leaat a dozen breakdowns…. im working on my ar45 now.. just need a bolt.

You can use meen arms mags if your not a glock guy ..just know they have the plastic ejector
