In this video we plink around with the new CMMG Dissent Mk57. It’s chambered in 5.7x28MM, has AR controls, but the Dissent ditches the buffer tube system for a super compact form factor. I’ve had a ton of fun with mine so far, what do y’all think about it?

  7. CMMG Dissent – very cool; 5.7×28 – meh.

    If you are willing to pay that much money for ammo, why in the world would you pick the 5.7×28 version over the Dissent in 300 BLK?!?! Handgun PCC combo?

    5.7×28 Ammo available to the public is not able to defeat modern 3A and has the energy of a standard pressure 9×19. 300 BLK and 5.56 are running circles around it ballistically

  10. I ordered the 300 Blackout from my FFL about a week ago and I'm not even the biggest fan of 300 Blackout but it's probably the best backpack gun I've seen in a while for a reasonable price. I think when its paired with my Dead Air Nomad 30 it's gonna be awesome!!

  13. My question is, how effective is the 5.7 for a normal civilian. I mean, if someone tries to rob you in your home or on the street, will it have enough joule to stop someone to get at you? Im not going to war, so yeah, with hollow points, do you think it would be sufficient enough? Can you even have it in FA?

  15. Without watching much, only the little intro, I think this is a very interesting little "pistol". The lack of a buffer tube and the fact the little 5.7 is so fast is very cool to me. I would load mags with both FMJ and hollow points. Like one after another. I would love to see one in full auto. How fast or slow it is.

  17. Anyone who buys this will shoot it once and throw it in the safe. I spent one afternoon with a borrowed 5-7 that turned into 30 minutes because 5 mags cost me almost $200. Buying a neutered 5.56 when you could just run a regular AR is downright idiotic

  18. I own pretty much everything offered in 5.7 prior to 2020. The AR upper that takes the ps90 mags as well as a real ps90. CMMG original AR upper and the 5.7 FN pistol. I love them all. Yes she does bark bring ear pro but they are all a blast to shoot. Glad more people are making guns for this round. Has honestly helped the price a little IMO.
