Olight baton 3 is the best I've used.
I was under the impression that โeveryoneโ knew that Fenix lights were one of the best. I havenโt seen them in your videos. I see companies like Olight that are trying to follow Fenixโs success.
Since I've watched this video a month ago, I have been trying to get the Milwaukee in Ireland. I have concluded it's easier to buy uranium or cocaine than it is the Milwaukee 2010R.
Just click the "return, damaged in transit" button
Great review! In my experience the Coast lights corrode causing flickering and failure very quickly, when used with the mouth hold method and brake easily when dropped, Coast does warranty them but charges $5 plus the cost of sending them in for a repair/replace. I used to wait until I had 2 or 3 bad ones before sending for warranty to save on cost. The Streamlights are good but I like the Olights the best
Why didn't you mouth test the coast with the bite grip???
Feet? Funny to measure anything in feet in the 21 century. Why not noses or ears ๐?
when you have to resort to spiking the heck out of them they have amazing durability. Nintendo controller level.
I used the harbor freight quantum for a year or so and now I use a nebo inspector RC which I like a lot more, which it looks like the covmax is a copy of the inspector rc
EVERYONE should keep a good, quality flashlight in their vehicle at all times! Something that is both bright and durable.
I would never buy a flashlight that you can't replace the battery. That's one of the most important signifiers to stay away.
It would be nice to see more reputable brands that have a proven track record for selling quality products. There's general market awareness issues with the flashlight industry that's been ongoing for years, mostly their own fault, but one of them is the fact that general tool or tech reviewers take requests for which brands or models to sample from their audience, then the users which have no idea that the majority of good flashlights are not marketed well or sold in widely available stores then go on to request what they see and know around them; the cheap and chintzy offerings from places like supermarkets, and grocery, hardware, convenience and automotive stores.
None of these places carry quality products when it comes to flashlights. (there are a few arguably decent outliers like streamlight, ledlenser and olight) You might find some in camping/outdoor/sporting goods shops but even then the offering is kind of scarce. This feedback loop persists through years where people don't get exposed to what's out there. It would be nice to see some more high value (meaning the quality to price ratio is astronomically higher) brands being highlighted. Just to name a few, Nitecore, Fenix, Thrunite, Acebeam, Manker, FourSevens, Lumintop, and Wuben all have great pen lights that are lower, at, or slightly above the set price range and are far superior to what's available at common foot traffic stores and every product on this list. (aside from the streamlight) I did not watch your last pen light video so sorry if you included any of these or other good brands already in that one.
just got a stream light off of Facebook market place for 20 bucks works grate
I really like the streamlight 66320
Milwaukee is so sexy but the built in SUCKS
Lol. Like the ๐ฅง๐ณrating!
That covmax looks exactly like nebos flexplower 380 lumen lights
I like the direction this channel is going in
milwaukee not acces to battery for me thats a zero rating… well made lamp could last more than 10 year, and event more than 25…. the battery will never last that… no battery change? lifespan 1 to 4 yr
I have the nebo and love it I use it alot and the nebo u can turn it off once it gets low wait a little while and turn it back on
Lol that water pump joke ๐คฃ๐คฃ the amount of people ive had to show that the MX13 in their DAF is chucking coolant out the seal by the water pump is crazy ๐
an led lenser fell out of my pocket 2.5 feet and that was enough to totally kill it (power on switch ceased to function) soo… yah.
What's really hard to find are sensible on/off switches that can be used without moving your hand or having to scroll through settings. Perhaps two separate switches, one for changing settings and one that just toggles between the last setting and off. Or fck me how about just a simple on & off thumb switch on the barrel?!!
Lights that light up are fairly easy to find. Ones built with a scintilla of thought… not so much.
Thanks for doing these tests!
I'm a little surprised that Streamlight is still around – they've been doing LEDs for ~16 years, after many other companies have dropped out, and they're still going!
Wh.. what am I doing? Iโm not in the market to buy any flashlights, but here I am watching your 2nd deep dive into mouth science and thoroughly enjoying these charts.. bravo.
Still no Surefire? I know they are pretty expensive but I have the keychain Titan model that I have carried in my pocket for years and love it. And Iโm pretty convinced that they are as close to indestructible as reasonably possible.
Given the events of the last 2 years… I will not be going into an unknown building, poking around with a flashlight, and then putting it in my mouth. … just saying, lol
plz do bike lights
The usb stream light is amazing!!
my EDC for the last year(ish) has been Olight's OPen2… Thing has surprisingly been a tank. it's been dropped dozens of times, fell off a pier into 33 feet of water (was still on when I went to get it, only reason I found it), and even took a day-long dunk in a diesel sump, including 4 hours of runtime at 160-175 degrees F, before I could get it back.

As a body man I can say almost every tech in auto industry has streamlights floating around. They make some tough lights.
When you say corn hole I immediately think you're shoving pens up your butt lol
No judgment, you do you, it's just funny hearing you say different descriptors for mouth and then using one that, at least for most of my region, means anus.
Anywho, thanks for the reviews ^^
Das, either a Kia or Hyundai. Pretty clean for its age tho
test compare budget to mid price range bike lights!!! ๐
16:53 "but not great for the 'old cornhole"
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
CRI value would be great as well
when you made the comment about throwing the lights on the ground and life leading to that, the lonely island song threw it on the ground starting playing in my head
The term "cornhole" does not refer to one's mouth, but rather the other end of the digestive tract. Origin? In the old days on the farm, corn cobs were a soft and disposable item used as a cleaning tool.
As a heavy truck tech, I have the AAA battery version of that Streamlight. Love it. Stopped using my big Stinger light. Though mouth feel is irrelevant to me cause I'm not putting a light that I just dropped in antifreeze in my mouth
Thanks for the mouth feel test, people may laugh, but itโs important.
Very well done, thank you!
I've carried the Streamlight Stylus as my EDC light for years……..that would be years of misuse and abuse. This has been the best EDC light that I've ever carried. I actually liked it so much that a couple of years ago, I bought a replacement for when it goes bad (which is still sitting in my desk drawer).
I like your videos, but dude, you gotta stop sticking these products in your mouth
a small flashlight, with a pivoting locking joint on the back end with a magnet would be so nice. you could stick it to the under side of your cars hood, and the pivoting locking joint would always ensure the flashlight would be pointing where you wanted it.
GP Discovery C31 is quite a nice little light._
