Its an awesome little light, I'm just not overly fond of the wiggle it has when rail mounted. Imo they need to tighten it up a little.
The IFF switch isnt different modes. Its preference or convenience depending on how the unit is mounted.

Goes on right or left side of the helmet & rotates to read maps & admin stuff. Or you can use ir as an external for mods so you dont get white washed. Would be cool if that mount was malleable so you could flatten it to a pack or chest rig.
