In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves reviews the Dead Air Sierra 5 and asks – is this the best deal going in suppressors for the AR-15 right now? Starting at just $699 for a suppressor, HUB compatible mounting device (KeyMo or Xeno), and a muzzle device, the Sierra 5 drives a hard bargain. James tests this new suppressor out with a SBR IWI Tavor X95 Micro, the new Smith & Wesson Volunteer M&P15, and even the FN P90 to see how it performs and to give his opinion.

  1. What's the better deal: This for less money, better performance, and smaller/lighter vs. a heavier, larger, and more expensive .30cal can that will work with .300BLK, 7.62×39, and etc.?

  2. As a comifornia moron I just hope one day we can purchase suppressors to help me prevent hearing loss, maybe I should sue newsome for making me lose my hearing because I can’t get a suppressor to protect it.

  3. OMG!!! I can’t believe you don’t use a decibel meter on these to PROVE how quiet they are. I mean come on now!!!

Wait a minute, wait……. Because if you can’t tell via the sound on the video how fricking quiet this thing is… then go back to your Mom’s basement video game system and keep shooting bad guys with your Call of Duty friends and pipe down!!

  4. Really wish the ATF paperwork wasn’t so damn slow. There are another six or seven suppressors I’d like to purchase, but I keep holding out hope that the HPA will get some daylight. Probably a waste of time, and should just suck it up and add them to my trust.

  5. Really good whisper pickles are getting cheaper and more affordable. I feel like we are going to see a surge of these in the civilian market once they become very cheap to get as technology improves.

  6. Speed of a bullet self defense.
When bullets fly through the air, they do so at amazing speeds. The fastest bullets travel more than 2,600 feet per second.
Explain how an unarmed person, confronted by a bad guy with a weapon or , baseball batt, knife, etc.
      A outruns a bullet.
B has time to get the phone out.
C has the calm or wherewithal to call law enforcement.

The bullet travels over 1,800 miles per hour. To put that in perspective, it's amazing to realize that bullets travel over twice the speed of sound
Explain how law enforcement is supposed to travel faster than a bullet traveling 1,800 mph to save a life.
Even if they get a call.
Sadly Innocent people everywhere are defenseless, when confronted by the  bad guy .
There is no superman or super hero like on TV faster than a speeding bullet to save the day.
Why don't politicians who believe in firearm control give up their weapons and have body gaurds without weapons.
This is why I believe in the second amendment and self defense.

  7. H.R. 38 Reciprocity Bill
H.R. 38 would allow people with state-issued concealed carry licenses or permits to conceal a handgun in any other state, as long as the permit holder follows the laws of that state. It also allows residents of Constitutional carry states the ability to carry in other states.

  8. New Yorks New firearm permit scheme.
How long before other anti firearm states try the same thing.
       Read on.
New York is requiring citizens who want a firearm permit, or renewing a permit to attend a class, qualify with a firearm, submit personal information from social media, relatives. Present and past spouses, psychological evaluation,
Then you have to go before a judge.
Next you have to go before the officer who signs and gives you the firearm permit.
None of the programs mentioned above are in place, and who knows how long before lt begins.
Just another tactic to delay, or in the long run make it harder or impossible for citizens to get their constitutional given right to obtain a firearm permit.

The question is, Does this include the people who get a quick pass to get their permit because they were a friend of someone influential.
Does it include Body gaurds of movie stars and others i can't think of at the moment who got carry permits in New York , Massachusetts and California, when the average everyday legal citizen could not get a firearm permit.
Pay close attention and see if they do.

  9. Hey TFB I noticed a small error. Around the 7 minute mark it is mentioned the IWI tarvor is the SBR weapon of testing. But a bull pup rifle such as a Tavor is still a 16 inch barrel. We’re you meaning a bull pup config for testing in general? How doe SBR ARs hold up?
