The good doctor doesn't tell you that any projectile traveling more than 2000 feet per second will have gross displacement of tissue. The most common round fired from an AR 15 is the 5.56 mm or .223 Remington and are some of the smallest rounds in the rifle catagory used for hunting, sport shooting, and home defense. You could compare ballistics and damage between the AR 15 and Ol Joe Biden's 12 ga. shotgun with buckshot and see which produces more damage. It won't be the AR 15. Then you might want to argue that the AR has a hihmgher round capacity. Well with a little practice you can reload a shotgun pretty fast. Now shotguns has extended tubular magazines and the bull pups hold even more rounds. Oh well, back to a rock and sling.

Ignore the politics. The information is wrong. An ar-15 can be chambered in many different calibers such as 9mm and .223, while it will have faster muzzle velocities which does make it more lethal, this shouldn’t be left out

This story is full of false information. Hunting rifles are more powerful than AR15s. ARs dont 'blow holes' in people and almost everyone that uses them target shoots or hunts with them. Millions have been made. This doc is obviously anti-gun.
We hunt with rifles because the velocity on all callibers is high enough to transfer a tremendous amount of energy. Bigger casing means more gunpowder means more expansive gas. Add a longer explosive chamber aka barrel and your moving that projectile faster down range. Of course it would do the same thing in a criminals hands. What an odd report.
