  1. I have used axle grease to quiet my buffer springs. Works well reducing the noise. Still not as smooth as I would like. I have heard of JP Captured springs, this is the first review. Thanks. Cheers.

  2. I opted for The Geissele super 42 spring with the included H buffer (it’s constructed with a triple wound spring like a German MG42 recoil spring, hence the monicker) and with it’s proprietary buffer (won’t work with a regular buffer) it worked fantastic to eliminate β€œsproing”. Plus it was around half the price of the JP captured buffer. I had ran (way) over my budget on my β€œPrecision” AR build with the barrel, furniture, BCG, optic/mounts etc. so I was pretty much done spending money on any thing not affecting accuracy…this was my cheaper alternative πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

  3. Armaspec sells their version, called the Stealth Recoil System. Same but different, and a good bit cheaper. Not sure how they compare, but would be worth a head to head, in depth video! If the sounds could be accurately measured?!

  4. I’ve been looking for a recent legit review (not paid ad) of these things for months. Finally ordered last weekend, I went with the ArmaSpec SRS for an AR10 I will be building this fall for my final class at SDI.

  5. I've used the JP captured buffer, but I have a pair of Armaspec captured buffers (for much less). I also run a Tubb Flat wire spring and Kynshot hydraulic buffer in one of my rifles. it's quiet and smooth.

  6. It seems like these are useful for 2 things. 1) Its only works, as designed, when used with a Uber quiet suppressor and ammo. 2) It does make it easier to install / remove the buffer system.
Other than that… everybody's ears are ringing from the loud ass .223 shots, that they can't hear a twanging spring, moving at 1/100 of a second speed.

  7. Sorry man, my gramma when she was still here loved her AR, and was a great cook 🍳 πŸžπŸ”at everything except preserves πŸ‡πŸ’πŸŠπŸ“πŸ‘πŸŽ. Why she liked that AR I don't know. Ever since I've hated anything wit JAMB! Pawn shop wouldn't give a nickel for hers. They had 16 of those dusty POS sitten there unsold!
At 70 I can't afford to waste time on its FUSSY delicateness learning curve. At resort here a murderer escaped because cops AR did whut they do BEST,….JAMB! I wouldn't take one for FREE!

  8. You can hear the difference despite the audio issue. I use the Armaspec captured buffers. But a quality buffer tube is also nice and quiet. The mil-spec tubes have machining left behind.
