  1. I have a Kel-Tec SU-16. It does accept standard 5.56 mags, but has it's own proprietary 10 round mags (which I do NOT like). It is not an AR-15, but it is a serviceable 5.56 rifle like the Ruger Mini-14 in all polymer design. It has metal parts where they're needed and is a very lightweight and fun rifle to shoot. It has a gas piston design which gave me fits the first time I completely disassembled it to clean it, but I've since learned it's quirks and actually like the design as it's easy to clean.

  2. I’d say that the Virtus and the FM15 are basically on the same page in terms of being “not AR”. If anything I think that the FM is closer is being it’s own baby than the virtus even. The virtus still borrows heavily from the AR15’s ergos where as the FM changing its charging handle is more out of the box than the virtus.

  3. Both the sig and the FNP556(?) are the same in most regards. The sig actually is more like a ar15 than the other one. The charging handle is the same, the bolt carrier group looks similar in operation. The FNP at least has a few differences.

  4. Options are good. Sounding like a boomer in this video Mac. Also, can you fit more endorsements? I like being sold things when trying to relax. Unfollowing. Maybe you’re not getting shadow banned. Maybe you’re losing viewership because you’re trying to sell more and losing touch with the typical gun owner. Aaand you’re probably getting banned? Bad combination. Anyhow godspeed.

  5. Not to be rude, enjoy your channel – But while we are on the subject – You really need to stop calling this DI rifle a piston gun. It's not… Yes I saw your vid on it – You are just wrong is all. It's a DI rifle….period.

  6. You act like PWS' long stroke system is something new. Sure its a far superior suppressor host to any DI gun, soft shooting MOA rifle that can run 10k rounds without a cleaning but HOLY CRAP IT TAKES THREE SECONDS LONGER TO DISASSEMBLE

  7. You do realize that they keep the AR-15 form factor because it is AMERICA'S RIFLE and everyone is familiar with the control and manual of arms. They do this for your convenience so you don't have to get used to a different system.

  8. Good points made by MAC, but also just some complaining about nothing. I see the merits of manufacturers trying different designs within the AR platform. The PWS system is excellent and is not nearly as cumbersome to disassemble/re-assemble as MAC made it out to be.

  9. Buyers aren't looking to shoehorn stuff into the AR15. I agree with you there. They're looking for support. SIG has kind of a poor track record for supporting all the engineering changes they make over time. If Wolf stops importing their upper you still have half of your rifle to work with. It's tough to tell us to just buy a new type of rifle when there may or may not be support for it in the future. Especially when the ATF and Congress have outlawed products by name or just banned them from import. Overnight your XCR or ACR might become a paperweight once it breaks.

  10. "Stop messing with it" is a terrible mantra. Many good ideas come about because of "messing" with existing technologies. You not liking something is NOT a valid reason for others to not pursue it. Having more options and derivations of the AR-15 doesn't negatively impact your ability to use or enjoy that rifle, it just leads to more innovation and options for the consumer.

  11. I absolutely disagree one-hundred-percent whit your opinion of a piston AR. Personally I have piston AR-15's and would take that anyday to a DI gun. I don't own a DI AR I only use piston AR less cleaning, great for suppression, no gas in your face only slightly heavier than a DI if someone thinks not even a pound of weight is heavy you need to lift weights

  12. wolf a1(16in.) gasses me in the face literally every shot without suppressor, like it was made in Auschwitz during ww2 or something. And it has noticeably more recoil than aero mid length(duh) at similar(back then it was around $499) price.

I would say that's a flop even if it wasn't any more complex than regular DI uppers.

  13. I love short stroke piston, but for self-defence I trust my life with the Colt M4 Carbine, end of story, period. Simple, rugged and reliable masterpiece of Eugene Stoner. Also lightweight compared to the short stroke piston rifle.
