Annually there are far less murders with rifles (typically below 500) compared to murders committed with handguns (usually 7,000+).

According to your own logic you should be demanding that handguns are banned just as much as rifles, if not more so. Why don't you though? These active shooter situations that happen in schools usually are in more affluent areas, and include white victims often times. That 7,000+ with handguns usually happens in inner city ghettos amongst gangs, and usually includes "POC." Notice how you guys never bring up the latter? Why's that?

The two things you missed were that this is a 22lr and that this has a special safety specifically meant to be used by a supervising adult. 22lr rifles have existed for kids for ages. I fired one as a boy scout. The existence of this rifle (or heck, the AR15) isn't the problem as much as the laws we have just make it way too easy to legally get a gun. I mean a 17 year old can just be given a rifle in some states and be allowed to "defend a store" with no adult supervision…

AR 15's aren't assault rifles. Kid sized rifles have been around for decades. AR 15's aren't automatic. You people are just ridiculous.

I don't understand why this channel goes out of its way to mock guns, gun owners and gun culture. There is nothing wrong with a child learning how to shoot a gun as long as they adhere to gun safety. I have several relatives and family friends that hunt for sport. It's a way of life. It's not like its a bunch of idiots screaming into the air and shooting wildly. Why does it matter if a kid learns how to shoot a gun?

TYT forgot to mention some features that this firearm has. First, it is chambered in .22LR. This is a much smaller, less powerful round than what ARs are normally chambered in (.223 rem). Although I will mention that .22LR are still deadly. Second, the company made the safety even safer by making it so that it is difficult for children to switch off. Third, this gun is shipped with a ONE round magazine. This is so that children can learn how to load and operate a rifle without the danger of them being able to shoot multiple rounds. You can purchase 5 and 10 round magazines so that when you child is more competent you can teach them how to use those.
So again, TYT fails to do their research and fails to report on all the relevant information and only feeds the emotion driven left.
