  1. Nice .22 Bro! I have a question for you & maybe you can help me out? I picked up a single shot, bolt action Harrington & Richardson model 750 Pioneer for $50.00 & it is dead on with it's iron sights but, I want to mount an optic & I do not know where to start because, I do not know what type of mounting set up this is or what it's called so, I don't know what to order! It has a line on each side of the barrel just before & just after the action! So,  Just a slight chicken scratch @ the 10 & 2 o-clock position, looking like I need some sort of a C-style of mount but, I do not know what it's called! Its not that pronounced like a 10/22! I hope you can help? Thank you in advance!!!

  2. I own a Remington 597 with all the upgrades including a carbon fiber volquartsen barrel and trigger. The issues you described that you were having you could of fixed the rifle without buying any parts. Sounds like the the guide rods for the barrel needed adjusted. Loosening the guide rods a hair would have made the rifle 100% reliable. When those guide rods are adjusted probably the 597 will eat any ammo. I purchased a Boyd’s stock for mine and it was a drop in fit. No modifications needed. I couldn’t agree with you more the 597 is a way better rifle than the 10-22.

  3. I just bought one of these and it gulps Golden Bullets like a true American lol no extraction problems, or of any sort for that matter, so far. It's so fun and accurate. I think I'm gonna go shooting some, cya!

  4. Sorry no can't say I am familiar with that but I will say the Volquartsen 'target hammer' REAAAAAALY improved the trigger… It really lightened up the pull, making it really a ease and pleasure to squeeze and it fires much nicer, I hate it when people say the ubiquitous "breaks like glass" but it certainly shoots much nicer and the trigger is more smooth, much more light to squeeze and accuracy/reliability both improved as a result (and the extractor REALLY improved reliability) Thanks GL & TC

  5. I am just seeing this comment so I am late on the response. Just so you know. Both the US Army and the US Marine Corps have or should I say for 40+ years had standardized their sniper rifles on the Remington 700 rifle; back in the 60s/70s of Vietnam when they realized they needed a real sniper rifle they chose the Remington 700 and they each then made their own modifications; the Army's became the M24 SWS and the USMC had the M40… Both were 700s but different builds from different armorers.

  6. Hey bro *thank you*, hearing that really makes it worth while. Sounds stupid but its true, most people on here think the world wants to hear their opinions, their vast knowledge, and the sound of their voices, lol. For me its a little bit of fun and a little bit of giving back, I learned from people making videos like i do.. Hearing you get one cause of me, makes me very happy etc. *LOOK INTO The Volquartsen Extractor and Target Hammer, BIG BIG DIFFERENCE for $20 + $40 bucks. BIG TIME !

  7. Yeah, I can do that, too. But it just galls me that something that is supposed to have 10 in it can only really get 9 put in. I am thinking of doing something to the orange plastic end to shave a tiny bit of it off so it can go down more. Or widen the space where the spring seats so the spring can spread out a small bit more and let it be compressed more.

  8. ''Really shoots great with a set of HARRIS BI POD on my REMINGTON 597 .22LR makes a big diff.also…I had a RUGER 10/22…and a SAKO BULL BARREL BOLT ACTION….The REMINGTON out shoots the RUGER and SAKO…NO SHIT..But get the VQ TARGET HAMMER…I POLISHED EVERYTHING INSIDE ALSO.IF YOU THINK CCI IS GOOD CHECK OUT . FIOCCHI SM320 SUPER MATCH..AND LAPUA STAND PLUS .22LR ROUND NOSE AMMO…THANKS AGAIN FOR THE VIDEO…

  9. @WVFAN1958 You're gonna be so happy! They said "Grind you a new one" meaning fabricate aka Make you a new one, grind you one from a piece of metal, aka make a new one. I needed a new magazine extension for my M930SPX from this company called Choate, the lady said "Yeah we'll blue you one on Tuesday" I said, blue me one WTF? I.e. the bluing tank, for blueing and preserving the metal. i.e. Make me a new one. The VQ parts change the 597 SO MUCH its AMAZING you will LOVE IT, I'm so excited 4 u!

  10. Well went to the range..I just put the target VQ hammer and didn't change the extractor ..bore sighted in with the Bushnell laser bore sighter..love this rifle now WOW …60yds bulls eye..did not shoot remington ammo it sucks..CCI .or FIOCCHI SM320 SUPER MATCH..NICE AMMO.. I sent the extractor back to VQ and the lady said they sent me a new one..well I never got it ..so I called them and the lady said she would have someone in the back to grind me a new one.. I thought grind me a new one.?

  11. @mahmudabdollahi The 597 does have that reputation, it's got a bum factory extractor. If you spend $20 on the Volquartsen "Edge Extractor" and have it put in, it goes from suspect to the most reliable rimfire there is instantly. Such a simple fix, Remington should just use the VQ parts from the get go.

  12. @WVFAN1958 Thanks a lot bro much appreciated, hope you're having success and fun with your 597…. if your VQ parts didn't work I would definitely get them to replace them, I can't say enough the difference they made for me. Must have been a bad apple of the bunch you got, much more likely cause they get a great deal of success.

  13. "I have a Remington Model 597LR …I also bought the Volquartsen Target Hammer and Volquartsen Extractor ..changed the Hammer…when it came to the Extractor in would not fit. so I called my buddy that is a Gunsmith ..he tried he could not get it in…so I put the factory one back in…called Volquartsen they said send it to them they wanted to see it..so I sent it back.

  14. @isofaster See you got real real lucky brother! I absolutely needed the VQ Extractor… and I figured I would do the Hammer while I was at it, and MAN did it make a difference!!! And the best part is, now it will shoot and shoot fast and reliably Federal Bulk 525 pack.. BUT ten you put in CCI Standard Velocity , AMAZING accuracy. Mini Mags = PERFECT for hunting. If you take care of this rifle, IT WILL take care of you!!!

  15. i bought one these last year , very happy with it . i bought cci ammo , very happy with that as well . bone stock , no problems. there is a few places to polish that are outlined in a video series here on youtube ( bolt , guide rods , hammer) but if you have no problems and shoot good ammo , no mods are needed . cheers =)

  16. @murdzilla Thanks much for the compliment and view. Now I agree I love CCI and its great ammo. And hey if you ain't havin trouble then why mess with it right ? LOL. You're lucky tho. The Achillies Heel to the Remington 597 is the extraction. And for me, my rifle SUCKED at this problem right out of the get go. I mean unshootable/unusable. The upgrade made such a huge difference I just cannot say enough. Now I can shoot ANY AMMO but I use Federal or CCI almost exclusively. Thanks bro!!

  17. Oh and neftaly thank you very much I couldn't have said it better myself or agree more. I owner if its someone who knows me and just doesn't like me. Literally cannot believe he's such a dooshbag over two part upgrades and a decent scope purchased on sale 20+% off.

  18. Congratulations Dirty. You are the first person in thousands of views of my videos to not only post a negative comment that is both inaccurate, mean spirited, and flat out wrong , you literally are the first person also to actually post DisLike button. Wow dude you stay Assyr
