  1. @who_tee_who have you see the smartrest HYPER POD II by eagle eye? I was looking at a tripod but like the versatility of this even more. The options to go from prone to knee to hip to standing really appeals to me. It is a hybrid style of mono/bi pod.

  2. I have been watching reviews for this brand for a couple days. Seems like everyone likes them. I wish that you could level the rifle with the head, that might be what makes me go in a different direction. Hell I get a great deal on them anyway so I will probably end up with one and give it to one of my boys when I upgrade. Thanks for the video.

  3. I have the carbon fiber version. I have had to make changes on how I hunt due to injuries i got while I was in the Marines. I hunt mule deer primarily in some open country, now I hunt them while in a ground blind, or under a tree, both fairly stationary to most hunters. I have practiced using the death grip on my range, in the blind and sitting on the ground. I have to admit that it took me a while to level it up correctly in a semi seamless way… that’s why you practice a lot. My groups are .39 MOA at 200 yards while using the pod in all the above mentioned methods. It is quite, it becomes very easy to use with practice, it leaves you with lots of space in a ground blind if you buy a bigger blind. I agree it’s mainly for short distance use or stationary. I only bought the carbon fiber because I’m very hard on my gear, and the legs on it won’t dent up over time.

I have left my Christiansen Traverse in the grip for 10 days at home, I never moved at all. I did move all the control knobs (other than the clamp knob) to my left side, that way I can still keep my aim steady if I need to increase or decrease the tension while being shouldered.

My shaking now doesn’t impede my shooting ability, it has given me more confidence in my shot placement out to 600 yards.

I would easily recommend this to my friends, well at least the friends that don’t own one yet.

  4. Heyyyy.
Anyone ever see the support stick that I think fits into the belt and support the rifle.?
And I saw some one hand and extendable stick. Like a long baton that supports the rifle??
I saw it in a magazine a long time ago..
    Very light weight .

The one that fits into the belt
Kind of like the flag bearers marching.
The flag pole fits into a belt harness .
That may be where the guy got the idea…

  5. Good video, I missed this one somehow. Tripod is nice.. I just use a shooting stick, it helps A LOT at 100yds (or any distance) & its really easy to carry & can break down. 👍🇺🇸

  6. I have to disagree with you on the offhand group. I thought is was respectable. Do that same test with your deer rifle, if you shoot the same size group, that’s five heart shots right there!

  7. I liked the look of this tripod but cannot find reliable information about the height of it. Everything I have managed to find suggests it is too small for a 6’3” shooter to get comfortable with. It’s ok for short people – the legs are retractable. It’s no good though if it’s not suitable for normal people, especially at that price!

  8. Well maybe just my thoughts wrap up arm in the sling and put ur hand up falwward more free hand might be better but tripod looks good thanks might look into purchasing one good video as always

  9. Also I would like to thank you and other channels for making it easy to find the gear used. Those links are so helpful to find the stuff I see and like. Thanks for the help Who Tee Who and Heavy Metal

  10. Tried to order this rest other day, couldn’t find that one. I’ll find it before next season for sure. I’m over 6 ft tall myself so when you used it standing, I knew I could too Gods speed to WTW friends and family 👍🇺🇸🐗🦌
