  1. Hey Matt, my names Matt and I love your videos. I have a suggestion for you. What if you did comparisons of cartridges that are similar such as 308 and 30-06? I think it would be cool to see them go head to head because you can have different powder loads in them. Have a great day man, God bless.

  2. 13” barrel for 308, verses 20” for 5.56? 308 by design loses bunch of power and long range accuracy with a 13”. Heck, the 13” twist stinks for 308 (not 300BO). 20-24” for 308 is needed as designed.

  4. I was with the New Zealand forces in Vietnam and equipped with an SLR using the 7.62mm cartridge, basically the 308. I know why many US soldiers begged us to let them have SLRs. Even bribed us……lol

  5. shows .223 rifle this is my home defense weapon
shows .308 rigle this is also my home defense weapon, when i need to shoot several bad guys with only 1 bullet, you know, economy…

  6. Have a 308 bolt action with scope for hunting but really prefer 556. I just don’t feel as ethical to hunt with a 556. I don’t want the animal to suffer. I can say that 308 in a semi auto is much softer recoil than a bolt action. It’ll leave a bruise with the hunting rifle.

  7. Matt making a video showing the difference between various calibers… Basically just goes out back shooting.
    5.56 verse 7.62, versus 308

Let's shoot some stacks of paper, ok so can't really tell much by that test. Let's try shooting some bricks..
Ok so they all made it through 1, you can see these higher calibers broke it into more pieces.

Now let's try some jugs of water and watermelons. We've got 10 of each, so we'll see how many each caliber make it through.
Well alright success we've got some "visual results," 5.56 made it through 4 of each.
7.62 made it through 7, an the 308 made it through 9 almost penetrating the 10th.

So after destroying a few different random objects today, we've concluded what everyone already knows. An can see the difference in damage these higher calibers make compared to the smaller ones.. See we're all learning..

Me thinking : Bro if you're not going to be blowing shit up, an are trying to show the difference in bullet/caliber strength. "Just get some ballistics gel blocks" lol..

  8. Hey man
I watch your vids now and then and you mention even here again for home defense you’d use or do use your AR… are there not better options that would span more users like young adults and small women and ppl without training like a small 20ga or other shorter shotgun that won’t go through into other rooms etc and have spread so aim isn’t as important!
I keep my 12ga close by. First rounds are just trap shot I have some buck shot following them up!

Just wondering… I’ll search and see if you’ve anything regarding home defense other weapons.
