Alright so let’s take a look at the super siege. On top of the lantern there’s a small d-ring which you can use to hand the lantern. There’s also a large metal loop which can be used to career the lantern or you can also use this to hang it as well. The Diffuser has a black glare guard which wraps about half way around which you can use to control the direction of the beam or you can remove it entirely for 360 degree illumination. There’s a transparent rubber button which you can use to turn the lantern on and off and it also glows to act as a charging status and battery life indicator. Beneath the button there’s a rubber cover which houses a usb output and also the AC power input. On the bottom there’s another d-ring and you can also unscrew the base of the lantern to reveal a small waterproof storage compartment.
In addition to being useful as a lantern it can also be used as a power bank and charger to recharge devices like smartphones, tablets, flashlights and other usb powered items. It has a built in 10,400 mAh Lithium Ion battery which can charge most smartphones up to 4 times and tablets about 2 times which make the streamlight siege even more practical for emergency situations.
This is a shot comparing the Super Siege on all of it’s different output modes in a small outdoor space and the lantern is positioned just about 10 meters away. On the Top Left we have the highest output 1100 lumen setting which has a max runtime of 5 hours and 45 minutes, next to that is the 550 lumen mode with 11.5 hours or runtime, on the top right is the lowest white mode with 125 lumens and a little over 36 hour runtime. On the bottom left we have the high red which has a 2.7 lumen output and a 140h runtime and finally on the bottom middle there’s the 1 lumen red mod which has a max runtime of 348 hours which is roughly 14.5 days.
Here’s another shot indoors comparing the different brightness modes so you can get an idea of what it might be like to use this lantern in case the power went out at your home.
Here’s a shot comparing the super siege against 3 other popular rechargeable camping lanterns including the BLF LT1, the Fenix CL30R and the LE and if you want to learn more about those lanterns I’m working on those too and there will be links to them in the description below. The Super Siege is the brightest lantern of the 4 and it also has the coolest light color output.
Overall I am really impressed with the Streamlight Super Siege and if you are looking for a lantern thats durable, bright, long lasting and also can be used as a power bank this is one of the best options you are going to find. It’s very bright and would easily light up a room in your home if the power went down and it would also work well for lighting up small outdoor spaces as well. The runtime is excellent on the lowest 1 lumen red setting as well. The only thing I’m not too thrilled about is the fact that you need a special AC cord to charge it but this is by no means a dealbreaker for me. It would be more convenient if it could charge via usb.

What happens if you charge it, unplug it(since it’s fully charged), but you don’t have to use it till about a year after when your lights go out?
1:36 what is that little thing?
Not bad but BLF LT1 for me! I like a lower low white than 125lm. Also like the option of warmer light. Plus I have a lot of 18650 LG HG2 cells so I prefer that to built in battery.
That's pretty good run time
the lumens is sort of expected but a 14 day runtime is solid and defintly worth it
i got the nitecore tini 2 recently!
hey i haven't been here in a bit
