  1. 416R is very accurate but doesn’t do well with heat compared to 4150 CrVM which handles well with heat but isn’t as accurate. 1/7 twist is good for duty but 1/8 twist is a better balance for plinking and practice. I would check the gas block alignment after every 1,000 rounds.

  2. I’m new to this AR thing and I’m highly considering buying this upper. Looking into a PSA complete lower and it’s got me confused. The lowers come in either 223 Remington or 556. Which do I get to pair with this upper?

  3. Placed my order on this back on March 30 with Optics planet and was in stock. Initial ship date was 4-17 days. Now I’m getting “waiting for items” when I thought it was in stock. Emailed and Spoke with a optics planet rep over their chat line on reddit and pretty much told me they are back ordered and approximately 5/4 is when their supposed to be receiving new stock.

  4. I ordered one of these uppers(.300 BLK variant) thanks to this video over my tried and true PSA upper. I wish you would have address and looked at the bolt carrier. Is it an M16 full auto, what are the materials?

Optics Planet is terrible at describing relevant info. They list the upper as 16 inches .300 BLK but in their description it says,

12 inch handguard and lists caliber as .300 winchester.

I hope this was your true opinion and not coerced by Optics Planet, hope I didn't my money in a shilldeo.

  5. Bear Creek Arsenal has uppers of most calibers, 5.56 to 50 Beowulf for starting Under $200 sometimes free shipping. You can get complete ARs for under $375! And they work!

  6. I'm a newbie – an Upper does me no good. Where do I buy a complete rifle?
    — I would like a complete Beginners KIT:
(The cheapest, but best quality for the money):
    AR15 (Basic but Complete)
1,000 rounds ammo (Grain, etc. your best choice)
    Cleaning Kit
    Strap
Cheap but good scope (I, personally, have a scope picked out already)

    — Options for the KIT:
    Lazer Optics
    Flashlight
    ——————-
Supply that and attract newbies to your site!

  7. I purchased that exact upper from Optics Planet and after feeling how sharp those edges where I immediately put it back in the box and returned it. Purchasing the barrel alone might be a better idea if you like the barrel. I went with a PSA upper and I'm completely satisfied.
