Today I take a look at my current EDC (every day carry) flashlight, the Streamlight Microstream. This compact, all-metal flashlight is handy to use in your day to day life without having to pull out your cell phone all the time.

  1. Both of mine get about 1.75 hours out of Rayovac Heavy Duty batteries. Which is pretty good for how cheap they are. I've had both of mine for 3-4 years now…. I EDC them…..and they're both almost silver now…..but they still run great. Good review man…. Anybody reading this looking for a good little light…. Go for it. Buy two if you can. You'll not regret it.

  2. Really want this but…I have the Protac 1L-1AA and the 1L has an almost identical low mode of 40 lumens but with a whopping 14 hours of runtime with a single cr123 or 7.5 hours with a single AA. The 1L also offers 350 lumens on high worth the cr123 or 150 lumens with a AA. The 1L is very light and easily works on a hat bill too.
Hmmm.. this is an appealing light for sure but I really think it should offer significantly longer runtime even with a AAA maybe like 4/5 hours?
Also it could easily offer a higher IPX rating.

  3. I have had this flash light for almost a year now for work and daily carry. Awesome slim light. I dropped mine in a deep puddle once and it wasn't affected one bit. Definitly recommend(getting the flash light, not dropping it in puddles). I don't have that weird clip scratching issue. Great product.

  4. Good review. I just got the red version and don’t have the white line issue. My big beef is that I can’t turn the little bugger on with one hand. The clicker is way to hard! At least I don’t have to worry about it getting turned on accidentally!

  5. I just saw another video where the guy took a paper punch and punched a piece of plastic from a store or gas station savings card. The round piece fit right inside the rubber switch and made the switch easier to use. Now I have to buy one of these.
