Intersting how all these shooters were on psychotic drugs and nobody asks if it had anything to do with it.

I hate to pull a Debbie Downer here, but I'm getting the distinct impression that a part of this is related to overpopulation (where we start to value life less and less)… the racism end is already being covered ad nauseum.

As a former resident of Boulder (my favorite town), I was very relieved to not recognize any of their names, but I still grieve for them.
The issue really isn't gun control, it's self control… but with rampant fear mongering on the right, we can safely assume that's only going to get worse.

The violence is a symptom of a greater problem in Society.

To be fair, the odds of that specific gun being used right after the lift when everyone already had access to other guns was exceptionally low.

Gun control would not have stopped this! I used this store a reaL lot and my bank is up there. This perpetrator was from Syria lived in Arvada,Co not Boulder he drove 20 miles to comitt this crime he was a Trump hater yet he came to a liberal town to kill people? He was on a FBI watch list how did he get a gun? Obviously the FBI failed in their duties. So ban the FBI. This guy would have done the same thing whether it was a pistol, lever action or bolt action, remember he drove 20 miles to do this. He had plenty of time to contemplate what he was about to do. Don't get me wrong I feel sorry for the victims and families of the victims, and may the grace of god comfort them. Ironically i had just got home before the cops put up they're 3 mi perimeter and yes I came home from the rifle range where I go to shoot my AR-15! Maybe if I would have needed a loaf of bread or milk I could have stopped him? Not everybody with an AR-15 are bad people maybe we should revamp our justice system so people like that don't get guns! Most guns can't fire themselves they need a person to pull the trigger. I've been shooting guns since i was 7 yrs old I'm 63 now. You blame an inanimate object for the crimes of a mentally ill, or a criminal or a jihadist whatever the case may be.

We may not know whether the shooting would have have occurred had the judge not shot down the ban, but we do know with certainty that the shooting reulting in ten more dead Americans did occur when there was no longer a ban.

wow, I'm sure if the law had been in place this fine citizen never would have shot those people, and BTW, he used a PISTOL version of the AR, it matters from a legal standpoint. Another BTW: CNN's 7 mass shootings story counted 5 cases that appear to be gang-related, again what laws do gang members follow? Canada has higher gun ownership rates than the US, its the PEOPLE-not the guns!

The AR-15 is not the problem. If you ban that one, another one will take its place. It's demonized because it's the one most commonly used, but it could be any other model just as easily. The problem is the widespread mindset of scarcity, and buying the narrative that The Other is going to take what you have, what you've worked so hard to accrue. Give people a safety net, a feeling of security that no matter what their basic needs will always be met, and a lot of this melts away.

Make bullets cost 500usd each. Problem solved.

They need to tax the ammo to make it unaffordable.

Better an AR-15 than a high powered rifle that could kill multiple people per bullet. Most people don’t realize AR-15s are low powered rifles. Basically varmint rifles, a single bullet from a high powered gun could tear through walls and multiple bodies and do a lot more damage. It sucks that ARs are fetishized though.

Maybe he will spill the beans on his silent partner, the FBI or BATF affiliate who put him up to this.

I’m sure the shootings will stop when the correlation between the shootings and the power and resources of the BATF and FBI become disconnected.

Did you mention the guy who did the Georgia shooting? I’m a lefty but I find it convenient that some lefties seem to hesitate to bring up this guys name and that he’s Muslim and not Christian or white.
Either way, this mass shooting situation is fucked :/ picking up a gun in times of desperation and anger is the worst thing to do.. smoke a bowl, scream into your pillow.
