Which is BETTER? Vortex Diamondback HD or Nikon Monarch 5?

I’ve got both the Monarch 5 8×42 and the Vortex Diamondbacks HD 8×42 with 14 days left to decide which ones to keep. Geez it’s a tough one, bar the FOV there’s nothing much between them in terms of sharpness and brightness. One thing I did notice that you picked up on was the Nikon appearing more like a 10x than the 8x it’s advertised as.

I’m still undecided on which ones to keep, the Vortex is £50 ( UK ) cheaper than the Nikon’s. That could well be the deciding factor for me.

For portability, do you think I should get a pair of Zeus victory 8×25 or Swarovski 8×25? They cost twice but the way I see is the binocular I use is the one always with me.

Great review. I’m in the market for good low light binoculars for hunting. I was looking at 8×56 Binos with Abbe-Koenig prisms. I came down to two competitors.

You able to do an assessment and review on these?

What about Bushnell have u done any test on them ????

You cannot test a 8×42 next to a 10×42, data unusable in my humble opinion.

I bought a pair of db hd 10×42 for 170 bucks. Nothing can come close to them for that price

For me the Nikon is the winner.

I have a crossfire II scope and love it. I'll probably get crossfire binoculars as well. Thanks for the comparison.

This video is what convinced me to go with the Diamondback HD's…very happy with the choice! Not happy knowing how much more money I could spend on glass thanks to this channel, though 😀

Great reviews. I was wondering if you do any reviews on the leupold line? Bx2 alpines would be in the same price point as these two and would be interested to see the difference in them.

What would you prefer, the diamondback or the monarch 7 10×42? And correct me if I’m wrong but I thought maybe being able to see colour better through the Diamondback would be more suitable for birding?

dude…if your gonna compare 8 and 10s your starting off wrong…then you look at 3 different things with the vortex…then look at 1 thing with the nikons of the same…start off looking at the cave with the nikons too, then the post, then the cows….crappy review and crappy comparison…and I own both…watch the hunting videos for some pointers…this review sucks.
