The AR-10 is one of the most common precision rifles in the U.S.A. The AR-10 is the starting point not only for most modern battle rifles but for most Western semi-auto rifles in general. It would go on to spawn the AR-15 and all of its variants, making it the progenitor of arguably the most popular firearm family in the world. The original AR-10 design field stripped. In this video, we will show the assembly of an AR-10 Lower Receiver from individual parts.

In the 1950s it was more common to see a rifle or a shotgun in a kids locker than a backpack and most field trips were to the shooting range to practice marksmanship. Mass shootings were unheard of.
Since 1950 nearly all mass shootings have occured in gun free zones.
There are 5x more murders by knives than by rifles.
From 2013 to 2015 the six states that passed gun control experienced increasing rates of police shootings and deaths.
The U.S. has the highest gun ownership rate in the world and ranks 28th in gun murders.
Over 80% of all mass shootings are done with handguns.
There is a clear connection between higher rates of gun ownership and lower rates of both police involved shootings and crime.
There are over three hundred million guns in the U.S..
According to the CDC there were 38,000 gun deaths in 2016 2/3 of which were suicides.
Between 1993 and 2003 gun ownership went up by 56% while gun violence dropped by nearly half.
There are roughly 3.8 million miles in the U.S. with close to 2 million miles being uninhabited and over 300 million guns. That is an average of nearly 160 guns per square mile.
There are just under 93 residents per square mile in the U.S.
When inmates were asked what the number one fear they had during the act of a crime it was that their victim may have a gun.
These inalienable rights are the walls between free men and tyranny.

I must be retarded bcuz I can't figure out how to install the safety selector. The video makes it look like it slides right in but part of the trigger assembly is in the way of me doing that.
#1 avid pivot pin tool < will reallly help with #1
Does this count as reading instructions? Hope not.
Very helpful video considering the rear takedown detent and spring are installed with the grip, not on the rear face of the receiver as with an ar-15.
At the "bolt catch" at 2:27 please note that on DPMS, and Aero Precision M5 lowers (and maybe more) utilize a "threaded bolt catch pin" described here: https://308ar.com/308ar-ar-10-bolt-catch-pin/ and not a "roll pin" that is used on AR-15 lowers. The threaded bolt catch pin is tightened with 1/16 hex. And by the way, great video!
Find the parts is getting to be a byatch…
After filtering through multiple build videos of just someone talking about their gun, I finally found this no bs how to. Can't thank you enough for putting this together.
you need to put safety selector in before trigger!!!!!!
do you offer 7075 t6 aluminum for your receiver sets or will you in the future thanks
Great video! thanks alot
Great video. The only issue I had was with my Aero M5 lower parts I had to get the safety switch in before I put on the hammer pin. Otherwise there wasn’t enough clearance for the safety switch to slid in. The rest was perfect.
Does this work with an auto seer the same way it does for an M16 lower?
missed something! What about the buffer tube, buffer and buttstock?
My bolt catch has a threaded pin
Nice work folks
Really cool video thanks
Exceptional use of animation… really nice.
How about dimensions to a lower?
