Bro, using a breaker bar and not a torque wrench can cause catastrophic failure and or injury/death. This was very misleading.
the square hole is not for a breaker bar, but i guess you can use it for that. it is for a torque wrench so it can be torqued to the proper specs.
You didn't to torque the barrel to a specific for lbs? Sure hope is on tight enough!

I'd love to know what these flagrant mistakes were. I'm no expert, but I've built a couple, and I'm missing anything "horrifically unsafe!"

you said the barrel made it tight? I thought that the barrel nut would have made it tight. Does the barrel really effect the tightness?

What good would the torque wrench do??? As tight as those threads were on the barrel nut, there is no way to know what the torque may actually be….

just 1 comment the square on the barrel wrench is actually for a tourque wrench to tighten the barrel nut to 30ft/lbs
It's scary thats the same way I put the barrel assembly on my air-soft gas m4.
what about headspacing a new barell? or are they just drop in?
