Most of my Lowers are Palmetto State Armory as they are cheap (under$130) and have worked flawlessly. all of my triggers are rack grade Mil-Spec, nothing special. I have 2 Bear Creek (BCA) uppers, a Palmetto state (PSA) “big boy” upper and 2 custom uppers. I specialize in High value options for your everyday Joe & Jane in the recreational scene.

PS: I am not a pro, keep that in mind.

  1. The flat wire spring is designed to have less of a difference between the spring weight at the compressed and extended heights in the buffer tube. This way you have a lot of good locking force on the bolt, but also not much more when it cycles. Flat wire springs also can have more coils without interference or hitting solid height, which helps prevent spring setting. Kinda the original flat wire guru is a guy name David Tubb. He has a video here explaining how it all works. He sells the original that Strike knocks off.

  2. Man I wish I had a shooting spot like that near me. I'm in the tri cities so no mountains for me. I do like going to Benton city up in the hills, but still no trees.

  3. Just fyi, the ammo guys I've spoke with say that most factory ammo has burn/dwell time appropriate for barrels 9"+ which is why 10.5 is a common length. Under 9 & you end up w massive flash, velocity drop, & accuracy issues due to muzzle pressures

  4. Have you looked into the 300hamr or the 350 legend at all? I'm thinking about swapping my 300aac barrel on my 10.5 pistol so I can have more power. GOOD Ammo selection for 300aac is fairly limited & I don't plan to ever run suppressed, so it seems that I'm overpaying for an underperforming load. Also, dont run solid brass projectiles out of a "pistol" if you ever plan to use for defense. (Lehigh or Underwood makes a couple) I heard from very knowledgeable & reliable source that brass projectiles are considered "armor penetrating" in a pistol & are federally prohibited but are legal in rifles. It seems stupid, so I'm sure it's true bc they do dumb shit.😉 got ur grip shaped & tried a new much faster method for the border. Not near as clean but probably ok, I used a dremel instead of my carpenters gouge. I'll get the stipple finished this wk & get shipped out prob next weekend

  5. I like the build and the idea behind it. I don't see nothing wrong with budget builds as long as they do as they were intended to do. Just curious, have you researched or tested that ammunition for terminal ballistics? With the weight and speed of the projectile, makes me wonder if it would behave more like a pistol round than a rifle round.
