  1. For the money, not a bad scope. Holds zero just fine. Did some machining to get the optic closer to the barrel. Only 3 drawbacks I could find for my use, Crappy eye relief. If you put this on an 06 or 308 you're gonna have a black eye and maybe a few stitches, but it does great on my 5.56. O-rings for better weatherproofing. Use a bit of locktite on the mounting screws. At the time of this posting they''re 39 bucks on ebay. As for the laser and illumination, I don't really care, scope's clear and draws ambient light as the sun drops toward the horizon. Or maybe I just got lucky.

  2. I have essentially the same scope (branded with Piney, which I bought on eBay a while ago for US$43.99), but with a green laser (it has a slightly different configuration for the laser). It suffers from the same elevation change when adjusting parallax issue. However, since the parallax adjustment on this scope starts at 100 yards, I found out by experimenting that turning the the diopter adjustment ring, rather than making the cross hairs sharper, brought into focus (at maximum extension, 100 yds and 10x) a sign with 1" & 2" high letters as close as 13 yards, although it was perfectly in focus at 18 yards. Since I don't expect to mount this on a rifle I'll be shooting much beyond 100 yds., I don't think the parallax adjuster will be needed much (for me). And for me, the higher mount is preferable because I have glasses with a gradient lens through which my best long distance focus is when I look perfectly straight, so I need the scope high. I had been putting off mounting this, but with your review and my experimentation, I'm much more confident now. Thanks for the great review.

  3. On my scope the Top knob is for elevation and the 1 thru 5 indicate hundreds of yards and is a bullet drop compensator so the elevation knob should automatically turn when moving the adjustment knob from 1 to 5 hundred yards. The instructions that came with my scope state that all values are given for the Remington .223 with 55 grain FMJ. Based on the instructions included with the scope it appears the scope is designed for the .223 Reminton, 55 grain FMJ and an AR platform for people on a budget.

  4. This scope is sold under many brand names but appears to be the same scope. I bought one from Amazon in the U.S. with free Prime shipping for $38.00. I bought it for an AR 15 platform and for use as a self defense weapon (close range red laser) and out to 100 yards with lighted scope reticle (Red or Green & Black if battery fails or default). For that type of use it's perfect if your on a budget. It's new to me so I can't tell how it holds-up over time or in bad weather.

  5. Please edit out your camera moves. It is extremely distracting to watch, and makes your video look very sloppy. Your info is interesting but hard to watch. And use a lav mic to reduce the echo.

  6. That is not a parallax adjuster , it is a bullet drop compensator . 2nd there is an adjustable objective on the eye piece to adjust to your eye to remove the blurr you complained about . Please read the instructions first . I have the same scope and if you adjust the eye piece it is very clear .

  7. What size are the targets that you are shooting at… the bigger ones…. did you say you were at 50 yds…… your shooting was shocking… at 50 yds you should be shooting under 1 inch and at 100yds just over 1inch….. you need practice lots of practice… and you obviously did not read the instruction leaflet before you started using the scope…

  8. There is actually a 1/2 star compensation adjustment swinging to the right of the #1 mark, perhaps you did not notice. As this starting point setting first click for distance seems about righ on at 200 yards shooting a 55 gr . I don’t find the glass clarity great but not junk by any measure. I will try it through a Onyx night vision soon, I hope. I did enjoy the review but Perhaps our opinions differ a little.

  9. You can not possibly be blaming your grouping on the optic. I recommend you take a course/class in sighting in and grouping in general. Not trying to be that guy but, say your first shot at 100 yards is three inches high then if you're aiming at the same spot every time the shot will hit the same spot every time until you adjust your optic. I would definitely recommend you have some training before reviewing products that involve training to use. Just my .02

  10. You need to practice more or get better ammo for you 10/22, they shoot a lot better than that. same with the .223. If the scope is making you aim that bad then it'd really a POS! Although the 100 yd grouping for the .223 was not that bad. Wonder what Bullet weight and twist you using on the bolt gun. Fast twist and low weight like 55gn and 62gn will do funny things. I suggest a retest on the .223 with 77gn BTHP match bullets. Love them out of my full size A2 AR15! Shoots better than I do at 300yds! Oh and yes Nathan St. Juliana is correct about the compensator. 11. That is not a parellex adjustment but a distance compensator dial. you zero it in @ 100 yards set on #1 and then rotate it up 1 number for every 100 yards beyond it. So #2 would be 200 Yards and #3 would be 300 yards etc.
