  1. Thanks for the great review. I was looking at possibly getting one of these until the eye relief issue reared its ugly head. I wear glasses, which sit about 1" in front of my eyes. If you're getting bopped without glasses, glasses wearers like me would likely get pounded. I decided that there was no way to safely use this on anything above 22LR, so I've ruled it out entirely. BTW-there's a newer (and of course more expensive) 5×35 model, but I don't think its eye relief is materially better.

  2. I have the same one on my AR 15. HOWEVER, it does not say Trijicon Acog anywhere on it, nor does it have the scan code on it, it is just black. It came in the exact same packaging tho and i paid a bit more for mine. Around 127$ from Amazon. It was a PRIME item. For the 80 rounds i shot, it holds zero. I would recommend using loctite on the screws so it holds even better.

  3. Well…..your review accomplished another American M-4 owner to order one of these budget Acogs. Currently they are running $50.00 U.S. I'm running a carry handle on mine as to have the peep ring back up option same as I qualified with. B.T.w your reviews are Epic, honost, and as advertised "AFFORDABLE"☆☆☆☆☆

  4. I have a couple of these. One on an M&P 15 and the other on a Diamond Back pistol, 10.5 inch barrel. Have had them a few months and I have yet to see anything wrong with them and I go through some ammo.

  5. I'm glad to see someone online with the guts to buy the el cheapo TA31-RCO ACOG knockoff. I would prefer to see the copycat have the same chevron reticle, or one of the other Trijicon reticles, such as the horseshoe rather than a tiny illuminated crosshair and a rangefinding reticle that nobody seems to have tested. I own quite a few optics, having served in the Marine Corps (enlisted at 17) and after completing college working as a police officer and major crimes detective, it turned me into a gunslut for life.

    Pretty much.

Again, I'm grateful to this guy for spending his money on totally unproven copycat technology. While the Chinese are proven to be the world's greatest counterfeiting design engineers, their tendency to opt for lesser quality materials and no real Quality Assurance program, more often than not leads to an inferior end product. This is especially true for anything related to firearms.

That being said, I don't doubt that anyone used to using a variety of guns and gear can quickly adapt to the funky reticle this particular ACOG has. Don't get too upset, but I would be less than honest if I failed to offer some constructive criticism in addition to my positive feedback. A few tweaks to these videos can send subscriptions skyward, and speaking for myself, guarantees a regular viewer. So grab a chunk o' rawhide and bite down on it right after ya take another big slug o' Jameson's whisky fellas. Aww.. who am I kidding?? I'm not gonna shred anyone! A few pointers will help though.

    1) There are numerous other criteria for determining the worthiness of buying any optic, whether it has an internal red dot, a holographic laser rangefinder, etched reticle, or a simple coated glass scope nitrogen purged after sealing and an old school black spiderweb crosshair. In order to offer viewers enough information to assist their purchasing decisions, consider doing more than putting a few rounds downrange and checking group size.
    2) Get a tube of Loctite blue for $5 at Walmart, or the $1 generic blue Loctite at Harbor Freight to secure the retaining nut so the optic can't loosen up. It's not as hard to crack free as the red and a hair dryer can speed it up.
    3) It's the constant action slamming back and forth in the 10/22 that is very hard on any optic. That's why every company sells specialty scopes and optics for semiautomatic rimfire shooting. Numerous companies sell a silicon buffer pad for the 10/22 to reduce the constant hammering that loosens everything.
    4) Cough up more details i.e. don't limit your descriptors to the price and build materials. Viewers want to know details about the type of reticle, if it has bullet drop compensation built into the reticle, and battery life expectancy. Other things remain of course, such as lense coatings, the three "proofs" as in waterproof, shockproof, and fogproof.
    5) I am used to coaching young men and women training to become police officers, which explains my need to offer mild critique. There is always room in each of us for improvement with respect to every aspect of our lives. I'll end this with a recommendation for a ten dollar microphone for the desk, and a lapel mic with the foofoo feathery things outside. You'll be amazed at how much your audio clarity improves. 👍

  6. I got a eotech 551 clone its awesome. I also have a zos 10×40 50mm mildot scope the guy from huskamaw scopes best of the west looked at it and told me its a VORTEX scope i said aint VORTEX American made he said no American company China made scope the zos scope inahoqed to my buddy whonis a Zeiss guynhe said damn thats some good glass what did you pay 1200 to 1600 i said nope 129 on ebay he said get the f outta here really not all Chinese stuff is bad my 8×32 40 bsa SCOPE is awesome on my 7mm MAG 198 bucks

  7. Due to my astigmatism I can't use RDS or holographic sights… Bought the terminus agog off Amazon, waste of money and ammo. Save your money and buy a used legit optic through eBay or arfcom you can buy the real deal for $400-$700

  8. I got a hold of one of these and just like the origional the eye relief is too short for the larger AR calibers, but my Son uses it on his 5.56 and he LOVES it!!! Does not require batteries and it's always on. HIs has the Chevron Reticle, but the same crosshairs. These are tough, at least on the 5.56mm! Thank you!

  9. There's one of amazon for $116 called "CRUSHUNT 4×32 ACOG"
The reviews on it claim it is almost identical to the real ACOG, its tough and reliable.
I bought it, it should be delivered today. I'll mount it and take it out shooting next weekend. I'll try to remember to give an update, or someone can reply to my comment to remind me.

  11. This is how China got into world trade back in the early 80's by counterfeiting! Counterfeits ! Counterfeiting ! Wealthy class said ,mmmmmmmmm???!!!!
