The following is a brief look at the following Bear Creek Arsenal Barrel:

Model: 256-B300PMW8.518(M)

Length: 8.5″
Caliber: 300 Blackout
Rifling Twist Rate: 1:8
Gas System Length: Pistol
Barrel Profile: Mid-Weight
Feed Ramps: M4
Barrel Material: 4150 CMV
Finish: Melonite (Nitride)

Groups shown were shot from a concrete bench, with front and rear sandbag rests.

Range conditions:
Temperature: 75F
Wind: 15MPH Gusts

Barrel was cleaned before shooting.

Build notes:

-Upper receiver was lapped and squared prior to assembly.
-Barrel was free floated.
-Barrel extension and upper receiver had a tight interference fit.
-Barrel nut was torqued and loosened 3x before final torque value of 80 ft/lbs was applied.
-Gas block was aligned properly, and taper pinned.
-Muzzle device used a crush washer, but was pre-crushed before installation so that it could be installed only 1/8th of a turn past hand tight.

Lower receiver has a polished, adjusted, nickel-coated trigger that breaks cleanly at 5.5 lbs.

As with all videos I post, I’m not sponsored in any way by anybody or any entity. I’m just a guy who likes to test cheap barrels.

All weapons pictured are legally owned by me.
This review may not be indicative of every barrel bearing the same model. This is just my experience with this barrel.

  1. I like most of the BCA and PSA stuff I've purchased. Both companies have great customer service if you run into an issue. My only gripe with PSA is their shipping times. BCA otoh, man, they get the orders out fast. Great groups out of that shorty, and 35 bucks is a crazy good deal. Suggestion, try Gunstreamer as a back up for your channel. They automatically copy all your content to their site for you, and the audience is building over there, slowly but surely. Thanks for sharing, have a great day.
