In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves gives viewers a first look at the CMMG Banshee Mk10, a 10mm pistol caliber carbine.
According to CMMG’s marketing materials about the new “best millimeter” SMG:

CMMG Inc. is pleased to announce the highly anticipated 10mm BANSHEE with its (patent pending) Radial Delayed Blowback operating system and Last-Round Bolt Hold Open. CMMG has set the bar when it comes to innovating the AR to handle powerful cartridges like the 10mm.

CMMG’s innovative Radial Delayed Blowback operating system incorporates a mechanical delay that forces the bolt to rotate, momentarily slowing the bolt carrier group, which allows chamber pressures to fall before cycling. This mechanical delay allows for reliable function with a wide variety of ammunition and removes the need for a heavy bolt, buffer and spring typically required in direct blowback systems. Radial Delayed Blowback significantly cuts felt recoil, directs more gas down the barrel, which results in cleaner function and real advantages when using a suppressor. Radial Delayed Blowback also reduces bolt velocity, keeping you on target for faster follow-up shots.

CMMG developed a unique Bolt Catch Linkage System in order to allow the Last-Round Bolt Hold open feature to be compatible with the 10mm and other pistol cartridges. The Bolt Catch Linkage System is dual pinned, precision machined, meticulously engineered and field-tested to consistently lock the bolt back after the last round of each magazine. This feature provides familiarity for AR users while changing magazines for faster re-loads.
The 10mm will be offered with an 8-inch barrel, starting at 5 pounds 2 ounces (unloaded) and an overall length of just 23.9 inches. One 30-round factory SGM TACTICAL 10mm magazine (GLOCK® compatible) ships with the firearm where allowed. To maximize performance and reduce recoil for the varying power levels of 10mm ammunition, the BANSHEE 10mm (Mk10) ships with a pre-installed H3 buffer and standard carbine buffer included.”

  1. Some of us spent $2500 on complete guns $1500-$1900 isnt a bad price for the right gun. That being said I feel like the price for this gun is a bit more than what it is worth and the price will drop after a year of sales.
I'm a 10mm fan so I'll probably end up buying it haha

  2. Let me know when it uses a quality mag like springfield, not glock junk (but I repeat myself). Interesting design though. Can you get the 9mm one with quality mag compatibility, such as Beretta?

  3. I have no problem paying good money for good products. With that said, I have a $400 AR that eats any ammo I feed it and is more accurate than I could be on my best day. My buddy has a $2000 AR (some skeletonized piece of shit) that jams all the time.

  4. How is it that YouTube is so anti-gun channel, but I just watched a ad for a holster or a company before your video played? Where exactly is the line that is and isn’t OK? I’m not making videos or anything, I just don’t like things left un-clarified.

  5. Was your Mk10 a Pre-Production Model? I am very interested in the 10mm Banshee so much so that I have started the paperwork to become a CMMG Dealer since I own Gun Shop with FFL. All that Play between the Upper and Lower Receivers is ok on a 500 dollar AR but I do not Expect it on one that is priced at 1400 plus! I just got a shipment of Core Rifle System Core15 their Entry Level Carbines and every single one of the 12 that I check into my AD book had ZERO Play and were Rock Solid and I am selling them for 499.00. Am going to ask CMMG to send me a Mk10 for T&E because I believe my local Sheriff Dept could use them for Feral Hog Control which is becoming an issue in my area. I like to personally test the firearms that I carry so when my customers ask if a weapon is any good or bad I can give them an Honest Answer.
