  1. I purchased this AR 11/18 sent it back, chamber cut wrong. Got new ruger 5.56 and had to send it back. Magazine kept flying out after one /two shots. Ruger sent new mag release button assembly, no go, won't hold mag. Thankfully Ruger had me send whole AR back and they will look at it. Well thank you Ruger after 3 months of failures now its to friggin cold to test the third or refixed AR you send me .

  2. I have about 25 or so of the locks but I currently have only 6 guns. My friends give me their locks as a joke. The other day I even found one in my garage, a relic of a forgotten gun!

  3. I got a shit load of locks. So damn annoying having them around. Plus my mom gets more from her work free. She works at the VA and idk why but they think it's a good idea to give them out lol. Not even supposed to have a gun on government property , so why the free locks ?

  4. I got mine just this year. I love it!!! I haven't had any problems what so ever with this gun. easy to clean and very well made. this would be a great start for a first ar15 user or someone that needs a gun to get the job done.

  5. great video. of course you pop up when I'm researching a rifle lol. I have to buy an AR15 for duty work and I'm seriously thinking about the Ruger over the M&P15 sport 2. mostly because of the 1/8 twist rate and the cold hammer forged barrel, the quick detach delta ring and the fact that I can change the trigger guard on the Ruger.

  6. TOTAL CRAP! You can't upgrade these rifles. I wanted to replace the hand guard, which required a new barrel nut. Nope, the barrel is not going to come off. They use a lock-tight that can't be broken free. I took mine to 5 local armorers with no luck. The last place I took it to was Fat Boy Tactical, and 2 men on a 4 foot cheater bar couldn't break it free. I did what was recommended and heated the barrel nut as I applied pressure to loosen. The barrel nut never came off, the receiver ruined, and the worst thing, I notified Ruger and never received a response! NEVER!!! You shouldn't have to ship a new and non-fired $700 rifle back to the factory, especially one that has never been fired. They know about this defect, yet do nothing. Just like with the SR .22 take-down lever. I had to replace 3 times, before finally selling it. They're out to make as much money as possible while this administration is still in office, and the threat of gun confiscation. BYE BYE Ruger, never again!!!

  7. I've only got a few. Gave away or tossed a couple a few years ago. Nice to have around though. Ya never know when you might need them for something.
They would probably make good bicycle locks.

  8. picked up the ruger ar556 also. I am new to AR's so not sure but mine has an unusually amount of wobble between the upper and lower. I've read its normal to have some but its bothersome. Seems the fit is off also cause it seems to edge out on one side on the upper to the left. Any issues with yours?

  9. I really love my Ruger AR-556, what a sweet shooting gun for the money, I think I paid around $600 for mine, and I don't need all of the bells and whistles, I need an AR-15 that is reliable, accurate and shoots straight….Got one here!

  10. Hey, that's not a single point sling mount under the barrel. it's a qd mount. single point slings are usually mounted at the front of the stock. thanks for the unboxing vid. very helpful. this one's now on my list

  11. Just a few days ago I ordered the Ruger AR 556 and am awaiting its delivery to my FFL.  I am retired Army so I have been around M16/4 for 30 years or more and I have had a Bushmaster for several years as well. I was looking for another AR platform and The Ruger 556 looked like just what I wanted.   I have different uppers in 5.45 and 6.8  I plan on using with this lower.  Thanks for the great video and the review itself was very good as well.   By the way, I must have a dozen or more of those cable locks just laying around.

  12. I did have a question I forgot to post. I have been shooting for almost 40 years, just haven't gotten on the AR bandwagon (yet?), lol. My question is, how long (realistically) do you think the barrel will hold up since it's not chrome lined, etc.? I like this rifle a lot but I also plan on putting quite a few rounds through it. Will this be one of those really good rifles that runs out of barrell before you really are done having fun with it? Can the barrel be swapped out with a different one if need be? Looking forward to hearing from you. Liked and subscribed. Thanks again and God bless.
