  1. Regarding reflections ~ You can get Kill-flashes for both the Trijicon MRO, and some Aimpoint optics. Not sure about the Aimpoint T2. But I have an Aimpoint PRO and was easily able to find a Kill-flash online for it. As well as for my MRO. With that one, I found two different types. One by itself, and one with an attached forward lens cap. The latter set-up far from cheap at around $77.oo (Yes, I enjoy my airsoft seriously enough to get excellent optics.)

The problem with the Huey is that being a holographic optic, there's no way to severely cut down on, or eliminate its reflection.

I tried out the Huey. Unfortunately with my astigmatism, this otherwise excellent optic is useless to me.

  2. It's so ugly though. I think eotechs look so much better. Plus nothing looks more operator status than eotech. The battery life is a major plus over the eotech. The negatives though are it is heavier, uglier, and has a blue tint.

  3. I've gotten 2 holosun's and returned them both as LED's seem to have very shadowy/double reticles. I've had 3 LED sights, and they all get the same shadow/double effect. Holographics OTOH are very crisp and clear for me and work far better in every way. HUGE downside tho is battery life which could be almost negated with motion detection, but they have yet to put that feature on any sight that I know of. So now I'm still waiting to buy a good holo sight, as nothing I see can fill that need. Any suggestions?

  4. I was thinking about putting one of these on a AlphaWolf Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) .45 with a 16" barrel. Because it's a pretty lightweight set up, do you think I might do better with a Vortex Spitfire 3x Prism or, will I have issues trying to use a scope optimized for 556 on a .45 ACP?

  5. I just picked one up. My EoTech 512 layed down for the last time after 11 years of great service. The Huey is really well designed. I love the reticle a lot. Having that 10M aim point is fantastic for tight quarters. I absolutely wanted a holo sight after my experiences shooting. I found that at best from rest to shoulder my target acquisition time was 2 seconds with an iron sight. With a holographic sight, with both eyes open, its about 0.2 seconds. I have eye issues. My left eye was scared so I have monocular vision. The left eye was tuned for short distance and the right eye for long distance. The topology of each eye is a little messed up which distresses the reticle. However, it is still clear as to where the aim point is, and where the circle is in spite of the damage to my eyes and allows me to put lead on target. I have ordered the Razor 3x magnifier. I can't wait to add that to my build. Thanks for the great review. I subscribed!

  6. Cam, you will get used to it….I went from a APT. Pro to a 512 and never looked back…and yes I have a bad stigmatizum and i still use red dots as well, micros to be specific.

  7. I luv how in a prior video on red dot you discuss how a persons stigmatism effects what they see. I do have stigmatism and at night when i look at the moon with no glasses on I can see three over lapping moons. Because you highlighted a person's varying eyesight as a factor when using a red dot device I can be more objective. Thanks much.

  8. FYI Have you tried the DI optical EG1-C? It is a prism sight with a 1 moa dot and a 65 moa circle. It is the exact same configuration as the eotech except the image is solid not a hologram s like the eotech. That should help with your astigmatism. The unit is built like a tank and the battery life is 4x what the eotech is rated at (EG1-C=6000 hrs). I have had an aimpoint comp M4s and the eotech exp 2 and in my opinion the EG1-C smokes them both.

  9. Okay, I was looking for videos because today I finally had a chance to look through this sight and was favorably impressed. I'm curious how durable and reliable it is; a great warranty is a bonus but it won't help you in the hear and now if your optic dies at a critical moment. I hope you follow this up with further use. Thanks for a great video!
