An AR15 with painted roll marks is a dead giveaway the owner Babies it and rearlly uses it in fear of getting a scratch. The AR was not intended to be used in beauty pageant's. There's not a single reason that justifies painting the ingravings. It's no different than saying "I like to take out my safe-queen from time to time and paint hear nails and do her makeup along with an oiled massage followed by photos to post on social media". Use the fuckin' rifle for what it was built to do. It's not too to be used to pay "dress-up".
All of my Spikes LOWERS have a DEEP SHELF,So I don't know what you are talking about. If you PAID THAT PRICE FOR A SHALLOW SHELF LOWER,THEN YOU GOT SCREWED BIG TIME!!! OF COURSE IT LOOKS LIKE THAT YOU BOUGHT THIS LOWER DURING THE DEMOCRAT, OBAMA YEARS, WHEN PRICES GOT REALLY STUPID!!! A LOT OF PEOPLE PANIC PURCHASED DURING OBAMA'S SECOND TERM, WHEN HE AND THE DEMOCRATS WENT AFTER GUNS AND THE 2ND!!! NEVER FORGET!!!
You do know that zombies aren't real? Few people put that much effort in achieving their desired goal, kudos to you! If you want your riffle in 5.56X45 or .223 Remington, I would recommend that you look into .223 Wylde It's the best of both Worlds, allowing you to shoot both .223 Remington and 5.56X45 with a barrel twist rate of 1:8. This will stabilize all ammo, but specially, the 62 grains to 77 grains bullets The 1:7 twist might cause the lighter bullets to destabilize and what's worse,it will shorten your barrel life. You might also consider down the line in getting an additional upper in another caliber, perhaps 7.62X39 or Russian short.
So disingenuous about helping local sellers. Either you are naive or just stupid. What goes hand in hand with supporting locals is that you WILL INDEED pay more. Don't expect to pay same as online. So you should amend your statement to 'I want to pay the least I can' so I don't wish to support local sellers unless they meet online prices'. Good luck!
If you're willing to drop the cash on it, you can get the Tac Con 3MR trigger group. It will run somewhere in the neighborhood of $400 but it has a selector setting for rapid fire. So you'd be able to flip over to undead. Personally I think it's priced too high for what it is, but if you want to use all your selector settings it's an option.
You did a good job matching the components. Just remember, a gun like this is for killing. Many of us buy these for a SHTF situation. Once we all go down that road it won't matter what color it is.
If i saw a lower like this there's no way i'd buy it. I hate the zombie craze, but whos to say you're not allowed to get it. Thanks for posting, I've always wanted red text on my safety for my AR and I will try this.
The zombie thing is frankly retarted, but for the best overall for performance vs price. Head Down hand guard, Odin Works DMR barrel (18" 223 wylde), Optics based on end use but Vortex optics are good.
Joe Bobs is awesome!! Great customer service…whatever you do though, don't buy from doarms, you well get crap and ripped off with a smile there, beware!
The first thing to do with building ANY lower should be to put the hardest parts on first that can damage the lower itself like installing the trigger guard into the trigger guard ears. Because if you break a trigger guard ear it renders the lower useless…
I had some automobile touch-up paint and thought about using the pen side to fill the letters in. I used this method for over a year and I find that it is the easiest way for me. Sorry I don't have any vids.
You prob should have atleast rented an AR to shoot so you could try it out before you took on a build. That way you would know whether or not you like how it shoots, ergonomics, felt recoil, ect. There are way too many tactical rifles out there to choose one without trying it out. I thought i would like an AR, but i ended up shooting a FN Herstal SCAR before i bought a rifle and noticed i liked the SCAR way better. That Belgium quality and fit & finish is second to none.

Hey, did you ever finish the gun ? I bought a Spikes lower today for $ 119. Was it hard to build the gun ?

good advice bro my new guide for building ARS

Anyone building an AR should check out Joe Bob Outfitters. That site saved me a great deal on my build.

Sounds interesting. Haven't heard of using that before.

The build is pretty much done. I have a playlist of it if that makes it easier for you. Man must be nice to be sponsored. I'll for sure check out his.
Yea I did that with a SAW-MAG and my two bumpski's
i bought my lower the day of Sandy Hook right after i got off work. i knew the gun control stuff was coming after that.
