Here are my latest purchases. I picked up an EOTech 512 in Tan and I also bought the Magpul RVG. I chose the EOTech because I want a fast and easy to distinguish reticle. A single dot wasn’t easy enough for my eye to pick up. I really like the 65 MOA circle and 1 MOA dot. I wasn’t worried about having a battery last for 10,000 hours either. Would it be nice? Sure it would, but it isn’t a requirement for my needs. I also chose the 512 over an XPS EOTech because the 512 runs on AA batteries that are easy and cheap. Plus I figure if the world goes to hell, AAs will be easier to find than CR123s. The 512 isn’t Night Vision compatible, again, because I don’t need my sight to be night vision compatible.

I also picked up the RVG for my Stag Arms 2T. I chose this one over others because I wanted a short and light forgrip but one that still works easily with the Thumb Break Grip. I bought mine in Flat Dark Earth to go with the rest of my Magpul stuff.

  1. I have been thinking about it so that I can have a lower 1/3 co-witness. But I am really used to it as a perfect co-witness now so I haven't fully decided. I have had to tighten the screw a couple of times. Kind of a pain and shows me that if I don't really lock the thing down, you never know if it might back itself out all the way so the sight falls off.

  2. That's the million dollar question man. Unfortunately the industry hasn't decided on what the "true" shade of FDE is. Most companies have different shades of it. You'll find colors with names like FDE, Coyote, Tan, Sand and the like. I have a video where you can see how the EOTech matches Magpuls FDE. EOTech calls this sight Tan. Let me know if I can help you in some other way.

  3. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. That is seriously the #1 thing people try to tell me but I know for a FACT it's a legit one. Now I'll have something else to point to for some verification.

  4. There were a limited amount made and ordered by Sportsmans Warehouse back around Jan 2012 do a google I did a screen capture of the sale page. I payed $389 for it and its awesome. They never reordered any after.

  5. Man I love the look of that 512 in tan. That looks really sharp. Been looking online for one in tan. Did you have to custom order it? Plus that 512 is as real as can be, don't know how that idiot said it was fake.
