The Indestructible “Assault Rifle” – Bulletproof AR-15 Build

Going into this build, I had one goal in mind; create the most durable and reliable AR I could fathom. After several years of research and testing, I have a rifle that has come close to meeting that goal.
This was not a cheap project, as the parts are mostly top shelf items, but the quality and is undeniable. There is always room for improvement as new products become available, or as I discover things I overlooked, but for this purpose, this gun is hard to beat!

  1. Would you be willing to share some of your shooting spots? I saw Lone Rock in part of your video that's my favorite spot driving out of Salt Lake but some of the other places you were shooting at looked really nice too

  2. You built a nice rifle. The state of affairs in the AR world today is awesome! We have lots of high quality components to choose from and knowledge abounds. As such building a "bullet proof" rifle is easier then ever.

  3. Yep, agreed, if you could beat it worse than you'd beat your red headed stepchild it's worth paying extra bucks for sure (laughed hard when I heard this guy using this old metaphor).

  4. Don't use a stainless barrel for a bullet proof SHTF barrel. Improvements to your build:
    1. LMT enhanved BCG – several generations of dev. went into it. Expensive but worth it.
    2. Aero MML upper/handguard set – 7075 Billet upper and hand guard combo. Mlok handguard attaches to the receiver not the barrel nut.
    3. Troy BUIS – Forget those crappu MBUS Pro sights.
    4. Noveske CHF barrel in 16" – This is a machinegun steel double thick chrome lined special profile barrel made by FN for Noveske. Super duty.
    5. Use a Sprinco Tactical Blue spring. Not that girly JP toy.
    6. A Super Duty rifle should not have an adjustable GB, more to go wrong. Go with a good low pro and have it pinned.
    7. If you want the best gas tube go with the V7 Iconel gas tube. $$$$
    8. The ultimate tough rifle should have an ACOG, not a Vortex anything. If you have to have a variable, go NightForce.
    Good Luck!

  5. Wow top notch review! I, building a Wilson Combat billet dream build. Using V7 titanium parts, Wilson barrel, Midwest industries rail, geisele, vortex 1-8, mission first tactical stock. Can't wait to finish

  6. Geissele specifically states that KNS pins negatively affect the feel and function of his triggers. Just a heads up. Nice build by the way. I'm a firm believer in 18" barrels with rifle length gas systems. How is the BHW barrel holding up?

  7. Excellent build and informative video… I too had my 18" barrel made by Columbia River Arms spot on to yours sir. The Cammenga mags you spoke of was new to me. I did some more research and I will be purchasing soon. Keep up the good work and videos God bless

  8. Very nice video. A very aesthetically pleasing and durable build on an already reliability proven platform. Gives me something to set my sights on for a future build. Big fan of the 45° red dot, too. I think it's funny that sometimes you bypass your under barrel grip. Is there a reason for that? Again, very well produced and informative video.
