If you lengthen the moment arm, you need to reduce the reading proportionally. M=Fx, where M=torque, F=force, and x=distance from the point of torque. To correct for a longer arm, M1/x1 = M2/x2, or M2=M1*x2/x1. Where M1 = reading, M2 = desired torque, x2=new distance (both wrenches), and x1 = original torque wrench length. In your video, you're probably applying double the desired torque. Unless you are mentally correcting the reading for the additional length on the fly (right).
I would love to be able to visit!
You guys in Provo? I'll be there in May, after moving my family to Switzerland.
I'll visit you guys, and you can also recommend a great house and community for me to buy π
20:25 Did he just pronounce WYLDE (wild) as 'will-dee' ?????
Does that barrel have a rifle or mid gas port?
What do you think of seekins precision 18" barrel for this project, is it accurate, or should I stick with white oak?
hi what is the brand and name ofΒ vacuum base viseΒ you use in the videosΒ . and what size is it . can you please get back to me thank you for your time
What bothers me about so many triggers is that they are way over priced. I was a machinist for over 40 years and I know how this stuff is made. 250.00 dollar trigger can be made for less than 25.00 each. I can see the cost of billet receivers but the small parts is where they make their money. Even so I recommend building your own because it is still less expensive. Most of what you pay for are cosmetics. Spend your money on the best barrel that you can afford and the best bolt carrier group that you can afford. If you watch your money you can build an excellent AR for around 850.00 plus optics.
o I am in Pa

if you had to choose a full ambi lower who would it be,thanks for your time
you are suppose to cut 4 to 5 coils off the take down pin spring for the seekins lower. I use to work at seekins and I was the machine operator that made the lowers and uppers. along with every other product they make.
I wish I lived in Utah, these guys are awesome people from the sound of it.
If you're going to have a 5.56mm gun that long you might as well go with a 16" .308 like the HK MR762. Isn't the point of an SPR to have a lightweight compact and accurate rifle.
What is the part number to your barrel?
What JP Silent Capture Spring are you putting in the buffer tube, standard or heavy?
