EOTech EXPS3 ExtremeXPS Holographic Weapon Sight on my Norinco Mak-90 (Review).
• Eotech has done it again by making the best even better. Offering true 2 eyes open shooting, a transversely mounted lithium 123 battery, and 7 mm raised base offering iron sight access, the new Extreme-XPS (EXPS) features easy to adjust side buttons and a single, quick release throw lever for easy attachment and removal. Single transverse 123 battery to reduce sight length. Shortened base only requires at most 2 3/4 inch of rail space compared to the 4 inch N battery sights. Battery cap and latch are eliminated and replaced with a simple O-ring, tethered cap; better sealing is achieved. Battery compartment is now separated from the base to allow it to hover over the delta ring of the rifle. Average battery life at brightness level 12 is roughly 500-600 hours, 3X battery life of N cell sights. Side buttons, NV compatible with a single quick detach throw lever.

nothing wrong with your setup, if that's the way you like. IMO eotech's sits pretty high on Akm's.
BTW, the Russians invading the Ukraine have EoTech sites on many of their AKs.
Mike, Norinco AKs are amount the most desired of the family. My 84S [5.56 NATO since you don't know anything about them] will shoot right up there with MilSpec ARs. AKs will shoot crappy ammo well. ARs won't shoot crappy ammo at all. LOL!
admit it, you bought the AIR-SOFT knock off version, surely you didn't put that fine instrument on that Chinese garbage?lol
$600 scope on a $300 china gun, shooting $6 box of shells? WTF man? lol
it's called a tether, not a little string attached to the side… lol
Hey mate. Got an MAK 90 myself and I'm looking to get rails for it. What rails are you using on yours?
Thanks for the video and a pleasant narration…
Still digging this optic? I'm looking at grabbing one this weekend.. I'd be curious what you think since its been some months now..
@animalbarrie i thinks its becoming common for people to think that the ak is unaccurate because thats all they ever hear without actually shooting one themselves. i really believe that people watch to many byast ar-15 videos. hello people you don't need a gun that shoots 1 moa in a combat situation nor could you shoot 1 moa in a combat situation. ak's are underated in the ak ar debate. nice rifle man diggin the eotech on it!!
@animalbarrie Well different AK's are different. But the basic AK is not known for accuracy. If you can reach out with that at 200 yards, then by all means do work with it!!! I agree, they are awesome and I would want one if I could pick one rifle only… unless I could have a cleaning kit, then I want an AR.. lol
I am lost… AK = crappy accuracy. Cheap Ammo = crappy accuracy. EOTech = Sweet ass red dot.. does not add up.. But to each their own. Great optic at least.
I take it you were at precision? how did you convince them to let you shoot the AK there? last I heard (from them) they don't allow the 7.62×39 round to be fired in their rifle range.
i gotta get a "chin weld" with my eotech. same for you?
ak with optics? always a bad idea in my book…. buy hey, if thats what you like bro. you still living on that land where you did all that shooting last year??? thats a cool little range.
Nice vid bro. I'm still on the fence with eo vs. aimpoint. This vid helps me get more datapoints.. thanks for posting.

I like the new battery compartment… wasn't a fan of the older models battery compartments.
@49joneser they aren't that bad… you can pick up the EXPS-2.0 for about $360 off of cdnnDOTcom. Cheaper than other L3 eos
@1LimaUniformLimaZulu aimpoint and Eotechs are simply different tools with different purposes. They are both good sighting systems. They both have slightly different advantages. Abarms1 just did a great comparison video of the two… worth checking out.
did that cost as much as the rifle… no disrespect just observation
Sweet
i have an underfolder also , it seems like that sight sits too high for a good cheek/chin weld on the stock
let us know how it holds zero. i have the same rail and don't have much faith in it's zero retention because of how it mounts.
That's a nice AK no matter what kind of sight you put on it!
Eochoppa!!
That's a nice sight no matter what you put it on
