(New HD camera and first edit with power director 11).Video showing the step by step trigger replacement on my New Frontier polymer lower. The original trigger and hammer in the lower were polymer so i decided to drop in a standard trigger. We also dicuss method of operation and take a detailed look at the trigger componants seperate and as an assembly. Using high detail to assist anyone trying the process. The disconnect doesn't 'slow' the hammer down. It HOLDS the hammer until you release the trigger to reset. Then the hammer falls into the lower notch.
Stupid question;..are all AR's the same as far as trigger group???..
Easy
Fantastic job explaining! Thank you very much!
Thanks for the video. Saved the day with my first build.
On the hammer, he put the pin the other way around. Opposite of what he said.. lol
Awsome
Thanks much, back in action.
I think I need to make a little correction – the disconnector doesn't slow the hammer. It will actually hold the hammer back. When you release the trigger, the disconnector disengages with the hammer. When the disconnector disengages, the notch on the bottom of the hammer engages with the sear which is the trigger reset.
Thanks dude very helpful
Thnx friend
Thank you for making this video, as a layman with this help I should be able to do it myself
Good informative video, thanks. BTW I ordered a trigger group online from one of the major companies and the hammer spring was mounted azz backwards.
🙂
I like from american
Dude! You have got some mad skills! Subscribed!!
Your video wasnt worth a damn
Excellent presentation! Straight forward and precise instructions. Thanks! Starting on my new precision trigger group now.
Took me longer to watch this video than it did the trigger swap. Thanks for the detailed instructions!
Good video. I bought a complete New Frontier polymer lower and I was getting light strikes. Got a mil-spec and gonna replace the trigger group. Thanks for posting. New sub for you!
Polymer lower!? Hell no – never
Thank you! I was easily able to change my trigger springs because of this video, plus I actually understood what I was doing!
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to put it together!
Thanks for sharing this info, very helpful.
5 year old video but gained a subscriber.
Excellent demo. Before watching your video I contacted New Frontier about changing the trigger assembly and they told me never to use anything but a polymer replacement as anything else will cause undue wear on the retaining pin holes.
Do not use this lower with a Slidefire stock, you will destroy the polymer hammer. Guess how I know ?
one best video i have seen. Most video failed to cover how the hammer spring seated on the pin.
i didn't see how the disconnector goes in. Does it just sit on top of the trigger?
Thanks! My spring kit arrived yesterday and now I feel ready to forge ahead. Excellent video.
I can't get the holes to line up for the pin
Great video man. Thanks!!!
Done it a hundred times but I'm spacing now that I have new springs, hammer spring legs go under the trigger pin and not on top right?
i dident pay attention to which way my trigger spring was put in and it wouldent reset, i thought i botched my trigger doing a trigger job, lucky i watch this video and you pointed that out, about to cancel my order for a new trigger group. THANKS UR VIDEO REALLY HELPED
