Hey TactiCalifornia, Does the muzzle device have to be pinned "OR" welded or pinned "AND" welded to the barrel of an AR pistol/AK PISTOL? Can it just be screwed on with out it being permanently attached? Does the attachment method matter if you use a compensator versus a muzzle break versus a flash hider?

I want to build an AR 9 from an 80% lower before the July deadline. Any tips on what maglock to use? Would you recommend the Frontier AR 9 lower or the usual AR15 lower with a mag adapter for the 9mm mags?

Mikey, are AR Pistols this size legal in CA? I have a Ruger lower that I want to build as a 9mm home defense rifle. I though Short Barrelled Rifles were illegal. How do you feel about running a 8.5 300 black non suppressed for home defense? Im on the fence but have a lower and upper already in mind. I have heard FTE problems with the 762.39 round but not much with the 300, you have any input on this?

I am looking to get the Magpul forward mount for my light, but I am wondering how up and in the way it would be of the upper rail. I ask because I want to add a Sightmark lopro green laser and push that forward on the upper rail, just concerned if the magpul forward rail would get in the way. Any info would be helpful! Thanks!
