Well I decided to sell my eotech and will no longer use Eotechs. Getting this one was kind of just something I always wanted even though there may have been better options out there, but now that there are issues that are possibly common with Eotech sights arising, I will be deciding to use other sights in the future.

Bitch bitch bitch. As said, other eotechs use other batteries and you can use AA for any electronics that are better. Blaming eotech for the batteries you use is akin to blaming ford for you using sub-par oil and gas.
Good deal, Eotechs break any which way you shake 'em. Aimpoint is what everyone outside of a supply chain prefers to use.

I would recommend to everyone to use lithiums and not alkalines for your vital battery powered equipment – optics, lights, etc. Those Energizer Industrials that are included with eotechs have problems if you read around. Lithiums have a 10 year shelf life, lighter, work better in the cold, and has more run hours. Leaking alkalines will screw over any equipment you have, not just eotechs. If youre still a bit hesitant, the XPS series eotechs use a different battery mounting system
