On the MK14 you can see the barrel nut through that M-LOCK slot on the rear. The MK13 does not have that slot, looks a lot better IMP…..

Which transfers less heat these or something from DD?
I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why the 7" and 9" Mk4 rails are lighter than the corresponding Mk13 rails? But then it switches and the 13" and 15" Mk4 rails are heavier than the Mk13s. Any ideas why that is?
Their DDC disclaimer states that not only does their DDC not match FDE but it also will most likely not match other parts in DDC, even if they're from the same batch
the big question is bcm or mk4 with durabilty/realibilty in mind?

Mr. GnG: What side of the debate are you on regarding M-Lok and Keymod? I really want to buy a complete BCM rifle, but they only offer Keymod. I was okay with this until I fell into a YouTube wormhole, and see more negative opinions on Keymod vs M-Lok. This will a fun target shooter and home defense use rifle.
The MK16 SMH would be the best handguard on the market it Geissele would offer it to consumers. As for the mk13 and 14 I think their there are plenty of other options that give them a run for their money. Also, coming from an area that has prevalent Hispanic gang activity I prefer to avoid those two numbers, haha.
The DDC coating is really starting to grow on me. Appears that Geissele has improved the consistency in the color, whereas it varied greatly in the past.

Just curious, is that black MK14 rail you're demonstrating pre-production? The reason I mention it, there are m-lok cutouts near the barrel nut on each side. Along with that, the anti-rotation tabs are up higher as opposed to on the bottom. I apologize if you mentioned this in the video, I did watch the entire thing but don't recall you mentioning it.
These rails are not overpriced at all. I bought a Mk8 during black friday for $190 direct from geissele and got a great gas block ($40-$60 in value) along with $20-$30 in swag. That makes the rail come out to be $100-$130, and for what it is, that's a steal.
Is there a difference between 9mm and 9mm Luger? I just purchased a FN FNS 9 and it says the Caliber is 9mm Luger.
