200 yard target shooting session with the EOTech 516 Holographic Weapons System. Sight is mounted to my AR15 carbine; Rock River Arms upper receiver with 16″ barrel and Bushmaster lower. I am using .223 Remington, Fiocchi 55 gr FMJ. With the exception of the first target setup at 170 yards, steel targets are AR500 steel from Mike Gibson Targets. Video features dual cameras during the shooting sessions for picture-in-picture effect; from the shooting position and at the target.
During my February 2012 review, I sighted the EOTech at 50 yards, which should provide an accurate 200 yard zero.
I get a lot of questions with regard to the EoTech being placed so close to the charging handle. This is where I have to mount the unit for POV shooting (camcorder mounted to the retractable stock) and I had recently completed a POV session. I left it as is and this wasn’t an issue, IMO.

Holy shit.. 200 yards at 1x.. with an eotech… impressive
Sold me on the EoTech! Damn.
The 1 moa dot is such a nice feature
Great shooting, I'll be purchasing the Eotech 512 for my next rifle.
Very nice shooting!
At what distance did you sight in the eotech At? Thank you!
Wow, fine plinking my man
These other guys that post their shooting videos, really need to take notes from yours. Love it, no laughing and joking, just shooting and facts. Thanks for showing some really useful clips.
thats dome damn fine shooting sir.
Hi, great video's as always👍 one question on Eotech vs Aimpoint, which one would be better at 200yds that's about the farthest I'll be shooting and I'm in my mid 40's with the eyes, lol
I recently purchased a Ruger AR556. I was looking at the EOTECH 512 for target and deer hunting (100-200yards max from the feeder) would you recommend it? If not what is a magnifier?
All kill zones!
When you shoot steel there shouldnt be any craters from the bullet in them. Are you shooting homemade steel? Because what your doing isnt safe.
what about 400 yards ?
Like your video I got to say I love my EOTech 512 I do have it set along with a magnifier an I can shoot turkeys at 200 yards they are so much fun to shoot with!
You have excellent eye sight. I do not think I can eve see that far. Excellent video with no surplus talk.
i think that partially obscured targe is great for real world shooting.
Very nice
Great shooting. How do you think that site compares to a typical crosshair. Also i was wondering how much it cost you? Thanks for sharing. Add 1 sub.
Thanks for posting the video. I found it helpful. I believe that if the steel target had been painted over again before the shooting then it would have been easier to follow where the rounds were impacting. If I took my attention away for a moment then I had no idea which mark was current and which was older.
Your thoughts on the recent " thermal drift " lawsuit?Just bought an xps 3-0
shooting @ 100 yards with iron sights takes practice; @ 200 yards, I must say a set of skills.
Good shooting man! Do you think you could repeat that performance with iron sights?
I heard great reviews on the EOTech, will be buying one myself, thanks for the proof on how good they are.
Good video, thanks
Great shooting as always. Today I'm going to subscribe to your channel. Don't know why I haven't done it yet because I watch a lot of your videos. Do you still run the Eotech on your AR?
when did head shots become the goal i smell a cod fan
wow that's really impressive man, great shooting!
Does EOTech make a current model that's equivalent to the 516?
That, sir, was some great shooting at 210 yards with zero magnification.
Random thought, couldn't you technically get the windage zeroed up close to the target. Because left and right won't change going back, couldn't you zero the left and right at like 10 yards then back up to zero up and down
If you watch military arms channel "not saying he is right but I believe I can trust this statement." The AR and AK both are 600 yard rifles. Meaning that's where he claims is there sweet spot! They can accurately shoot further but I'd say your shooting with no magnification is excellent! The eotech has a 65 moa circle with a 1 moa dot which I think would make it a pretty accurate nonmagnified optic at long ranges!
